What will you be doing this Christmas
For many people it’s a time for all the family to gather around and have fun. What will your Christmas like this year?
Myself I’m not looking forward to it, it means I will be on my own which is sad but that life. Last Christmas was amazing however what happened during midyear turned things around. I have written about it if you don’t know.
It’s the time to spend with the one you love and your family, I currently am single and don’t have anyone special in my life. My kids are away this Christmas so I guess I’ll just be me and the laptop for company.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas in no matter how you are going to spend your time.

@kevin1877uk I have a hospital appointment on 29th December, so I will be going nowhere soon. However, I do plan on being away in January.

Hi Kev. I am alone but love it though.
Sorry you do not prefer it that way. It is especially hard at the holidays I understand.
I will be spending it right here in my apartment with my son who is getting ready for a dicey surgery so enjoying the time is precious to me.

Merry Christmas to you too, I hope your son's surgery goes ok.
It's hard at the special time of the year when you don't have anyone. I was better when I didn't have anyone for years but having a relationship changed me and now really miss being with someone.

We will be at home, hubby and I together, maybe playing some Christmas music, but not doing anything really special. We had all our loved ones with us last Monday.

It is sad when others have to spend their Christmas by themselves. I have been there, and done that. and I didn't like it, but it happened. I, now spend my Christmas with my son and family. There is only 6 of us, and we really enjoy our time together. It is much easier when there are just a few of us, as we can sit and talk together without having to shout to be heard. I am axious, and I know I will enjoy it.

@kevin1877uk It isn't any fun, but on the same hand, when you are used to that, it doesn't bother you anymore. I do hope you will be able to spend it with your family one of these times.

My husband, son and I will be traveling two hours away to spend Christmas with my parents and immediate family. It should be a good time.

@kevin1877uk Right, stay positive. I know it's not easy to do sometimes. I will have a good time, thanks. I am also dealing with some diagnosis from my doctor. Although I am not sure how correct he is. I will be getting a second opinion. Nothing bad, just a bunch of things that make no sense to me.

I hope your Christmas goes better than your thinking it will. We will be spending Christmas with our friends since my family is 9 hours away now that we moved. I am not expecting an exciting Christmas either but I will try and make the best of it.

@kevin1877uk Xmas will be similar to other years, Xmas day with a family meal and grandkids pressies, Boxing day a little different this year as the local Indian is doing an all day Buffet for £2.50...so a change being as good as a rest, we'll be toddling off to try it....you and @Asylum, wanna' doggie bag

I will be at my son's home with my grandson and daughter-in-law and her parents for lunch on Christmas day (and probably some left-overs if we are still hungry in the evening). The next two days I too will be alone and, weather permitting, will go out for a walk and then spend the rest of the time here.
I am not aware of what happened (unless I search) but you will not e alone here on myLot as time differences will mean that for some it will be over when we get on here

Sounds like a plan, yes if the weather is good I might go and take a walk but the weather here in Plymouth, UK been horrible with rain and wind.

Christmas is just a normal day for me. I mean, some gifts are exchanged, but I don't get together with family. I suppose we all just drifted apart, I know I'd be welcome but I just don't have the energy to go and deal with so much noise.
