Beauty is in the Prime Rib

I might have made an ugly cake (that tastes good), but I sure made a nice looking Prime Rib! And I have no qualms about buying another one from Omaha Steaks - it was sure worth it.
We have enough for another meal, which we will do the day after tomorrow. I don't like to eat the same thing two days in a row. My husband got to try out his new cutting board...the top layer, where the meat sits, has holes in it and that layer sits in a tray - so all the liquids that might run out don't spill all over the counter..they go into the tray all nice and neat.
We are finished with dinner, the kitchen is clean, I'm on the computer for a little while before I retire to the TV and rest! A nice day considering the 3 1/2 inches of rain so far and it's still raining.
I hope you are all enjoying Christmas Day.

I was unable to login yesterday, we moved early in the morning with a very thick fog 
and it took forever to reach Milan. When we came back home late in the evening I was too tired to do anything. Your Prime Rib looks good. Happy Holidays to you and your husband.

Prime Rib leftover is too good for lunch - we had a total of three dinners out of that roast.

I wonder if you will save the drippings. I love to use it to make a gravy of sort out of. It is so savory and delicious.

we had beef too...it was lovely as was the whole day...which is just coming to a close for me now at 01.15am....
