I hope everyone had a happy, Christmas day yesterday. I loved it but I am so glad it is over. Every year I end up working myself to exhaustion to make sure everything is as perfect as it can get. Today I feel like Santa must in the picture on the left. I am pooped. It was a perfectly wonderful day. We all had a great time. How was your Christmas?

I got up at 4 this morning after going to bed at 11 completely wiped out, like your picture above, then had trouble getting back to sleep, so got up at sixish and did some work on the site and went back to bed about 8:30 for the rest of my sleep. Today I just want to relax and veg out.

@just4him I don't blame you for wanting to relax today. Your day yesterday sounded like it was full and busy.

@HazySue It was. I was glad to get home. I still need to get over to my daughter's house, see my great grandchildren, and my grandson who is only home until Tuesday and get them their Christmas presents. My thought was to make more pillows, but I don't think I have enough time to get one properly made for him before he leaves. So pillows might be out of the question. I also have gifts to give my great-granddaughters.

@just4him you certainly are busy. It's too bad you won't have time to properly make a pillow for your grandson. Have a wonderful time. They will all love whatever you give them.

I know everyone wants Christmas to be perfect. For me I don't worry so much anymore. We do as much as we need to do and it always works out so good. I think for a fact we prepare way too much food for the table to start off with. All the food, cooking and dishes makes you wonder why you did all of this. I have learned over the years to cut way back on what I put on the table. I normally will add a turkey, stuffing, gravy, one veggies, some sort of potato dish and leave it thee with a salad and one or two pies for dessert. This way everyone has a good time and thee isn't a ton of food to find a place for when dinner is done. I like it better to only have a few things to eat than all the tons and tons of food everyone puts on the table each year.

@HazySue Wow that's perfect and I agree with you on this one. Here in the family on the islands we all choose a few things to make. Each person makes the dishes and we just put them all out and enjoy. So it is perfect because we all helped out. Maybe next year have people bring a few things to help out. This way you won't need to do it all again.

@poehere I have a solution for my feeling of needing everything to be just so. Next year somebody else can have the Christmas dinner at their house.

Mine was enjoyable. Spent it with extended family. There were kids there, which always makes it more fun.

Our family will be together in a few hours, everything is ready and I am taking a little break here, but I am bushed too.

@HazySue I have said the same, we have to find another way to meet all together, I cannot cook and bring food to Italy, it's too stressing.

I had a very nice Christmas. To be honest, I am always happy when it's over. There is always just way to much to do.
