It's After One PM and I Decided I to Get Up.

I was going to sleep until 2:30pm possibly, but couldn't sleep. The sun is shining through all the windows. It looks lovely out there even though I know it's a bit cold. When I left work this morning at 8:30am it was only 29 degrees Fahrenheit, that's -1.66667 Celsius.
I had the job of working a midnight shift both early Saturday and early Sunday morning/today. I don't have to return to work until three pm on Monday. Since I get to sleep tonight, I'm hoping I got enough sleep for now.
Even then, I may be popping in and out as i would really like to get a few things done this week. I'm working on organizing a room which I was going to use for doing my bookkeeping, but my husband moved his desk in there first and I'm still in the kitchen. I do take all my papers in that room for filing later, but later never caught up with me. I'm several years behind and have lots to work on. I'm hoping that doing it little by little I can make some progress.
I also would like to catch up on invoices and expenses for 2015. Once I do that I can spend more time here. Cours, my problem is that I spend the time here and do neither the organizing nor bookkeeping, so it's always looking me in the face.

I did sleep a bit before starting the shift that night, and got well over eight hours last night.

Each time I go into that room, I'm overwhelmed. I don't have much time during the warmer months to get extra things done, but I've already begun and made a bit of a dent. With the bookkeeping, usually by now i have at least six months work to get through, but this year I did much better keeping up month by month until Sept and then it all went to pot.

lol Yes I think most of us suffer from the same problem but I am getting better at organizing my time.

Yup, here we are. Exactly! The sleep is caught up, though. I retired earlier than normal last night at 11:30pm and didn't get up till a bit ago at 9:40, so no one needs to worry about that. I have a tendency to either be here or play games on my pc or tablet. I put my tablet with my work bag hoping that will keep me away and entice me to do some of the other things instead.
But, I did volunteer to take my mom to lunch at her apartment. She has Alzheimer's and we take turns so we don't have to pay extra for nursing help to do that. I'll be working on bills shortly and then a bit of bookkeeping, I hope. If it turns out I'm here much more, then that probably won't work out after all.

@MarshaMusselman , good you caught up on sleep. I am glad you are there for your Mom, enjoy lunch with her. I guess some things might not get done today.

Meaning you did that instead of projects around the house, or that tired you out enough you had to rest afterward?

@MarshaMusselman Really just means I didn't want to go out again. I watched some football, did a little project work, practiced some mandolin, and then read.

It may not be easy to fall asleep for long hours during day time, unless you are used to it. Hope you'll get enough sleep before returning to work on Monday.
You are very organized. Hope you'll get some time to do your organizing and bookkeeping task, and still spend some time here.

I use to hate working overnight. Especially when you go in in the cold and then come out and it is still cold. I hope you get organized. A little over time might take forever, but you can make it feel like you are achieving something every week..

I helped my mom with cleaning over Christmas and she had bags and bags of tax stuff, expense statements for her business and other important documents. I tried to file them for her a special way but we didn't get it all done yet. Some of the stuff she kept is from 8 years ago.

I'm able to get things done before getting busy the next year. I usually put most of it into a shoe box, label it for the year and put it in the basement, but tax forms I keep upstairs so I can compare different years or if there's a problem with my accounting, it's easier to find. Well, it would be easier if it was filed appropriately as i did them. They usually go on a pile or two for filing later. My piles are only a couple of years old, though, as that's only how long my daughter moved out of the room we're using.

I hope that you recover from working nights before you return to work again.
I don't think that your conversion worked correctly from F to C.
Freezing at 32 F = 0 C, so I would imagine that at 29F it is closer to -1 or even -2C.
Celsius is so much easier to understand based on the concept that the freezing mark is 0.

I used to love working overnight but the sun would keep me awake during the day, as well, so I bought black-out curtains for my bedroom windows.....
Now, I can't even tell if it's day or night outside when my curtains are closed! I LOVE that! (Uhm... they work so well I have woke up, looked at my clock and wondered why it was still dark outside! Another time I played on myLot so long it got dark outside and when I went into the living room couldn't figure out why the whole house was dark. Pretty laughed and told me I spent the entire day playing!)

That's not an easy shift to work. I hope you are getting enough rest.
