Ok, Ok, I know that most of you do not watch "The Bachelor."
However, we raised four daughters and now we have three granddaughters who range in age from 15 to 22. Watching "The Bachelor" is a guilty pleasure in our family. We all text back and forth with our comments about the show ... and make fun of many of the participants on the show.
In addition, I agreed to write weekly Bachelor recaps and gossip about the show for the online newspaper TheDailyVoiceNews.com.
So, when I am not online this evening (and every Monday night for the next couple of months), I'll be writing my comments about "The Bachelor."
See you all tomorrow!

@Marilynda1225 @T_gray - I'm glad I'm not the only Bachelor fan here. I have enjoyed writing my articles about it on TheDailyVoiceNews.

@DeborahDiane That's really cool that you have some place to write about it. Are there more follows there that like the show?

It is the one "comedy" our whole family enjoys ... although it is supposed to be reality TV and NOT a comedy! That makes it even funnier!

@DeborahDiane it certainly isn't a show you can take seriously

@Marilynda1225 - No, I think a lot of people go on the show because they want to become famous.

@DeborahDiane I am sure that your discussions with your granddaughters are much more interesting than the show.

Honestly, you are not missing anything that is really worthwhile. However, our daughters and teenage granddaughters watch it, and it is fuel for lots of good discussions about what NOT to do on a date!

The Bachelor provides plenty of material for jokes! Some of things that go on are ridiculous and it is hard to imagine what these people are thinking. One of my daughters says she is sure they go to mental hospitals to pick up two or three of the contestants, just to keep things interesting!

I can understand watching it with family while texting. That would be fun. But otherwise, ick.

I agree! There is no way I would sit and watch it by myself. You need to have someone else who is also making fun of it.

@DeborahDiane I did this with my daughter the first year American Idol was on. She lived in Seattle then, and we did this over the phone. Lots of fun.

@ElizabethWallace - It does make it more fun to have other people to laugh with about any show we watch.

I assure you, unless your family enjoys it, you probably would not enjoy watching it by yourself!

Ha Ha! You are so right. I think Lace is crazy. I read today that some people suspect that Olivia gave up her job as a small town news anchor to attract the attention of ABC. We may be seeing a lot of her in the coming years, once she has been on The Bachelor ... as long as she doesn't start acting crazy, too!

a bachelor I recall who is famous in his profession is that emergency doctor in "the doctors". I don't know too if he was able to marry the woman who he picked in his episode.
another bachelor that was the least favorite was that prince, who has a very dull personality.

Yes, I remember both of those bachelors. The one they have now is very nice, they say. Let's see how the season goes along.
