Now that I've spent some time on both facebook and myLot, I can say that without a doubt it would be an amazing thing if we could share time on a site that pays you to both post and interact with each other, rather than just wasting that time. Most of the same functionality is there, except there are no trolls and reporters like there are on facebook. Oh yeah, and did I mention you get PAID for your updates??
MyLot also has customer service. *Imagine that*! Actual customer service on a social media site!!

I'm surprised, and have been for quite a few years now, that mylot never picked up more members.
You can talk about the same stuff you do on facebook, you can add certain links (within the rules) you can make friends and you earn whilst doing all of that.
Even on the old site mylot never had more than 300,000 members and many of them weren't active.
I do think this site needs a few additions to be really popular but thats been said by thousands over the years

Yes- well I know friends of mine from facebook have left and joined a site called tsu.co that I believe pays. I guess I have a membership there but don't use it.
Yes most of the functionality is there, it's not as full of trolls and you won't be suspended for weird reasons like on facebook, and it's less of a "timesuck" than facebook is.
You can say "eff you" to someone here and only have the post erased- but on facebook they will suspend you for a week, if you have the bad luck to be reported by someone who is mad at you! It's happened to me several times. There is simply no recourse to this either, as there is no customer service on facebook. Stupid site!!!

@buttheadface932 with regards to bad language you do need to be careful of that.
the moderator here is very very fair but if you keep doing the same thing you will get thrown off.
I've said bad stuff to people on here and the post was removed but i begged forgiveness from the admin and he/she let me off but said i had to stop breaking rules.
If i do it again i'd fully expect to be banned.
People do report other members on here, I do myself if they are cheating.
The most important thing on this site is to be aware of the guidelines and try to stick to them.
Mylot never had a massive membership by the standards of other sites but it had, and has, a very loyal core membership who really care about the site and you don't get that in many other sites.

MyLot is really way better than Facebook as not only you can interact with people around here. You also earn while socializing.
