It's been a somewhat cold day with an ocasional wind here in my lower corner of southern california. The best part of the day has been the droplets of liquid diamonds falling from the sky above. It sprinkled a little the day before, but today we had more of a legit rain pour itself upon us.
Morning was a bit cold and drizzly with the rain falling lightly in a soft graceful manner, almost floating through the air. Everything came to life by turning either green or looking clean.
There has been a break in the action during the middle part of the day. The wind picked up just a touch, enough to make it chilly. All the leaves were able to shake off the water and the skies looked clear and full of life.
Currently the clouds are starting to cover the area in a light grey blanket. I can literally see the rains spectre coming towards us very slowly, like a all of haze. According to my local weather report the rain should be on/off throughout the night. Falling in light to moderate levels.
El Nino has officially arrived for the season.

Nice, Plethos. I've been hearing the freezing rain fall all day here. It almost sounds like hail. It is half frozen before it hits the ground/house/car.
I am going to hate trying to clean all the ice off my car in the morning. At least I don't go to work until later in the day.

@Plethos Honestly, Plethos,
I mean that exactly the way I said it.
Have you ever lived in Missouri?
This is little ballies of ice wrapped in liquid water. It splats and "tings" on the windows and window awnings. It sounds like hail, but if you stick your hand our, you get splashed with water and stung by the ice ballie at the same time.

"Let it go, let it go!
Can't hold it back any more.
Let it go, let it go!
Turn away and slam the door.
I don't care what they're going to say.
Let the storm rage on.
The cold never bothered me anyway."

A warm rain is better than a cold, dry day in my opinion!
