She Returned Her Pants

We were at a friend's place for the New Year's Eve celebration. There was this older woman who was popular with everyone there in a not so good way, but since she is behaving nicely and it's the holidays, we all had fun. I noticed however that at the back of her pants, the tag and price tag are still attached. I pointed it out to her and even started to rummage through my purse to get my small swiss knife to cut it for her. She stopped me and thanked me and she said she will just do it herself and then she excused herself to go to the bathroom. Hours later, when we took the party down at their bar in the basement, I noticed that the tags were still attached and she will just discreetly pull down her top to cover it. Another friend saw me looking at it, and just when I was about to approach her to tell her that the tags are still there (maybe she forgot? or she thought she got them taken off when in fact it's not?), my friend pulled me back and whispered to me to just let it be. I said okay. Yesterday, I received a message from that same friend who happens to be working at the mall, and she said that the lady returned the very same pants she wore at the party.

That's what the clever buyers do but here the goods can't be changed after wearing.

Really? Well, here as long as you present the original receipt and the goods in min condition within 15 days after purchase, you can get your money back.

I wonder if the commission of the sales person who sold her the pants was deducted when she returned them. I hope not, if it is, then that makes it really uncool.

We have people like that here too. They treat the store like their personal closet.

I hear of this stuff happening, but it still shocked me when you hear this about folks you know.

That is just SO wrong. I would never do that. Just think of the poor soul who buys the pants you already wore and returned unwashed. (Mind you in the UK where 'pants' are underwear it would be even worse)

And we will never know. That is why I always wash new garments that I bought from anywhere.
