My Foot Has Recovered

Back in July whilst helping my son and his girl friend move out into their own flat I managed to hurt my achilles tendon. For months I have been in pain and hardly able to walk more than a mile.
It is a tribute to my friends that they walked at a snails pace so I could keep up with them. Having had my foot examined last afternoon I am pleased to announce I am able to walk properly again. The doctor said it will take time to get back to normal and lose the limp. So I am happy that normal life can resume again.
I can now start to shift this extra weight I have gained over the long six months . Good time of day or night to you.

@fishtiger58 Thanks for explaining. Wearing crocs well that worked well for you. Keep having injections is so painful. I will remember that and pass it on. Glad you have recovered . Not being mobile is such a pain.

@suzzy3 it has something to do with the tendon in the sole of the foot getting stretched. I was told by a wise woman to forgo the doctor's visit and start wearing Crocs or a similar shoe, so I did. It worked like a charm, I was hurting for over a year and in a few short months I was all better. I wear crocs all the time now, it's been two years and no more pain. The doctors solution is a shot of cortisone in the heel every 3 months for like forever. I like this solution much better.
