My Opinion About Donald Trump

I think the campaigning is funny. My opinion is that Donald Trump wants to make the election process and issues dominate the news every day. He has the money and power to do so. People listen to him because he acquired his wealth himself. It was not handed down to him. His business sense is worth taking note. The policies of elected officials can influence the financial state of the country. My feeling is that Trump wants to set the issues in the limelight. I don't believe he seriously wants to become President hence the outrageous biased remarks. What he wasn't counting on is the unspoken biases of Joe Blow America. That is where the poll numbers are coming from. Donald Trump may be elected by the very irony of his outlandish words.

I feel like reason Trump is running is just for attention. He hadn't been in the news enough lately and this was a way to get a lot of attention over months and months. He'd like to get elected because then its constant attention for 4 years, but if not he's still gotten daily attention all through campaigning.

He is very entertaining to watch, and he is a great businessman. President material? Well, about as good as our other choices I guess, lol.

I wish we could get some dignity back to the presidential election process. The whole business makes me sick. And no, I do not find Trump one bit amusing. Makes me quite aware that America is TV land and TV addicted. Where in the blank did education go?

@sallypup Right out the window it seems. We do not have any REAL presidential candidates, so the whole process is mute. Someone WILL get elected, by default, and someone WILL screw up the country just a little more, and eventually, we will be a third world country. By that time, all borders will be closed, and we won't be able to get out.

@cindiowens Most of my neighbors are already pretty well third world folks, anyway. I'd feel better if I knew even one of my relatives actually had books in their house and read them. My Mom does but at this point can't register what she reads. Erudite. I want erudite folks- I get laughed at when I talk about poetry readings in the town where I live. Pathetic.

He will never become President. He is an egotistical sexist. His words will be his downfall. I cannot stand this man. Prejudice and bigotry are not what America is about.

Look at the popularity numbers. We'd like to believe we are not about prejudice and bigotry, but the numbers are saying otherwise.

This is an interesting point you are making. I imagine that no one was more surprised than he that so many people are taking him seriously.

I expect he will say more and more offensive things to lower his appeal as election day gets closer.

I like Trump as far as a businessman and I think he could do something in the white house as far as balancing books and money matters but how well will he play with others ( other countries) and running the country? I am not sure he can. I would so much rather see Sarah Palin. I do not like any of the people running.

I like many of his ideas, but I don't think he is really presidential material. I do hope that he makes some of the people here sit up and pay attention to what is happening. I don't think he will get elected, but then I never thought Obama would get elected for a second term either! We need some one with good sense and integrity. It seems that those who would make the best candidates don't want to run!

I believe you are right. Just the scrutiny is enough to take most down.

So true. And now with this KKK follower. That is rather scary. I think he is a lot of hot wind. He is very disrespectful to women and I don't care for him at all. I certainly hope he doesn't get in office.

As a Canadian I have to tape my mouth shut because some Americans think I should not have a view about American politics, yet it impacts us so much.

@irenen1 I saw Trump's TV shows and they made him look like a slimy and untrustworthy businessman, I see little reason to trust him in politics.

The saddest part of all @irenen1 is that the majority of people don't even bother to vote anymore, so it doesn't matter who gets the position. And the worst part of it is that it is the Press that usually picks the winner. And it seems that only a few states votes are important.
