I usually implement no TV until it's already noon. We also don't use the electric fan in the morning as it is a bit cold around here during this month. Also unplugging those appliances which are not in use.

The no TV is it because the electric charges more during morning hours. I know where I live during the summer we don't turn the a/c until after evening because during peak hours the charges is more!

@cherriefic well according to the news during peak hours morning to afternoon it costs more compared to evening. So in my household we don't use much during the peak hours!

We always turn off the TV, that we only watch about one hour in the evening. Of course I would never turn off the fridge and freezer, I do not want to spoil the food that is inside.

Oh yes, you cannot turn off the fridge or freezer. I think the website meant turn down the temperature only. The fridge doesn't need to be super cold.

@infatuatedbby The fridge needs to be around 38 F, or the meat will spoil. I am very careful with food.

I switch off the power sources which are not in use. We also use CFL bulbs for low power consumption.
