Bra shopping is as much fun as ...

....having a root canal!
I am not a shopper, I'm a buyer. I buy online for many reasons, convenience is one. But privacy is a biggie and when it comes to buying bras I would rather have root canal. I can't and won't deal with dressing rooms in stores.
So I put on my big-girl panties and I shop online. The problem is you get 'addicted' to a particular bra but you gain a little here and there and the bra doesn't. When you reach their range limit you have to switch brands and that's where the problems come in.
Trying to not only find the 'perfect' bra but one that felt as good as the one you had to put in the trash because it's just a tad too tiny now. I've thrown out a few recently that were so perfect in the photos but not so right on this old body.
I just took the plunge on a site I've never tried before...but I made sure to check their return policy. I don't want to get stiffed paying a restocking fee! I picked two different styles so hopefully one will be 'perfect'! An old lady can dream can't she?!

I am a small boned well endowed woman. It does not matter where or how I shop for bras. They are never comfortable. I am always in pain. I hate the whole process.

@ElizabethWallace My husband doesn't own a suit or a tie...we trashed all that 'dres-up' stuff when we moved south to the country.

@AbbyGreenhill Physically, yes they do. All of their clothing is designed to be comfortable. If they wear a tie, they complain. Sheesh. They should try underwire bras!

A couple of years ago, my Mom bought me the best bra I have ever worn. I still wear it today. It is always a great day when a perfect bra is bought.

ha ha ha - just the other day my daughters and I went underwear shopping for some new sets for my youngest off to her first REAL JOB and it was exhausting. Then this doesnt fit, then this is too low or there are padded ones too padded. Does one ever find that perfect BRA and if you do, do as my hubby says - buy them all.

Right about now @AbbyGreenhill , I don't have to worry about bra's. I think I'm about a AAAA, so for me, a visit to any pharmacy to buy a stretch wrap works.

It's hard to find the perfect bra. It seem like you find ones you like and they stop making them by the next time you have to but more.

I can relate, though I don't shop online. Hopefully at least one of them works for you. Even better, if both do.

If I will have my way I prefer to shop for bras online. But I have the same dilemma. Even if I know I got the size right, it just doesn't feel right. I have thrown a couple of bras last week, because the underwire is starting to poke out and poke me in my chest. I was gonna wait until the sale of this particular brand that I am wanting to try but nope! I ended up buying a couple of new ones at the mall which is just a generic brand but very comfortable. I am happy with the fit and I don't really care whether it's brand name or not. As long as they don't hurt!

I know the feeling, although I'd probably take bra shopping over a root canal! I don't have a problem with going to the dentist, but I have anxiety, so sitting in a chair that long with my mouth strained open can drive me nuts! It's the physical discomfort, rather than the work being done on my mouth. Nothing can compare though to being awake while having my wisdom teeth removed. That was fun.
But I find I have better luck bra shopping in-store, only because it helps when I've been measured, since I'm well-endowed, but smaller/average in the waistband. I'll probably buy online for a sports bra though. I have yet to find one without an underwire I can wear. *sigh*

I had my wisdom teeth removed 1 per week...that wasn't bad at all. Actually I've had a lot of Root Canals and only the first one hurt - it was done by a former Marine dentist..ouch!
