Preparing sauces with the aid of internet

Some years ago, when I had visitors, I spent a long time reading recipes from several cook books I have.
I specially disliked when I finally thought I had what I needed, but then the cook book sent me to page so and so for part of the recipe. I used pieces of paper, fingers and even ashtrys (then ashtrays served several purposes at my home) to keep the pages opened.
Now bedides only having to click on what I want, I can have several windows open at the same time. This comes handy now, when I have to decide on some sauces for my fondue.
I realize I will have to make more mayo as many sauces have a mayo base. So this is my next step, after I finish this post.
I went out for breakfast and we had fun with my daughter. I was worried that she had a problem, but she only wanted to spend some time with me.
I decided I´ll just have a soup for lunch as breakfast was late and diner will be heavy on my stomach.
Do you use the web for cooking ideas now or do you still read your favorite books?

I do Marguicha. I mostly go to the site called Yummly.
I am glad you had a nice filling lunch with your daughter and glad she did not have a problem, something we can little afford.

She does not have big money problems. She is a judge and earns a good salary.

@marguicha It is better than marking pages in cookbooks.

@marguicha Yes, it's easier for us to look for new recipes online nowadays.

There was no internet when I started my cookbook collection. I still have my favorites, but internet is the best.

I often get recipes online. It is convenient and not so bulky as the cookbooks, but we have several of those as well.

I have a whole shelf of cookbooks that I have gathered over the years. But now I prefer the online help. Gone is the time when I had the Joy of Cooking at my nighttable

for some old tried and true recipes I still use my old cookbooks but I'm always eager to hunt online for new recipes and ways to cook the same old thing a different way
