I can't believe I have ordered dinner without knowing what it is

I am in a hotel in Amsterdam where I only ate once before. They have a 3 course deal for 32€ but you don't get to choose what you get. I told the waitress that sounded like it would not work because I don't eat meat but she insisted that I could trust the chef to do me a fishitarian alternative. What was I thinking? Now I am really not at all relaxed about my meal because I have no idea what it will be. Wish me luck.

chef's are often good about dietary restrictions, and I read this out of order, I already know you are stuffed, lol

It was utterly awesome and I've just written a post before I risk forgetting what I had.

That is something that I would never ever do - I'm so picky that I'be bound not to like what they dished up. I hope your meal turns out well.

@boiboing I do hope that works out well for you. €32 is a lot to pay for something disappointing, especially if you end up hungry and have to buy something more elsewhere.

good luck are you one of those pescatarians ? 32 euro is pretty good for a decent place in amsterdam but i'm not sure i'd order without knowing what i'd get. I used to go to amsterdam a lot and didn't see that sortof thing there then.

There are some surprises that I do not prefer to be a surprise, and an unknown and untried food is one of them. The reason why I am not adventurous with food is that I have a picky and sensitive tummy. If I get sick because of daring to try something new, I might become sick and miss a lot especially if I am supposed to be on a vacation. I do not relish a trip to the ER and so I stick to the slightly familiar gastric road.
