Unfortunately there's people who would love to see us go insane. There's many different reasons why they may want to do this. Whatever the reasons are. Don't allow them to accomplish that goal. It doesn't matter if it's a spouse, your children, a mother or a father. It doesn't matter who tries to do such a disgraceful act. Keep your sanity. Prayer helps me stay together and connected with God and Jesus. Listening to soothing and gospel music also helps. Sometimes people want to see others miserable because they're not happy with themselves. We must protect our minds. Sometimes you simply have to tune some people out.

I've had to learn this the hard way. I used to be such a good listener - too good of one that I'd let people dump on me to the point where they did drive me insane. And then the friendship completely ends because it had to. Well now that I've got my own family, I really don't have time for that kind of nonsense. I've learned either tune people out or not get into such situations in the first place.

Music is a wonderful way to calm your mind and lift your spirits. It helps you worship and be close to God

Carrie Underwood has a song "Jesus Take the Wheel" which always hits home to me. When the going gets tough and people try to derail me from my happiness I turn this song on.

You are absolutely right. I know a few people who like when others are miserable. Maybe because they are miserable themselves or maybe they have another reason for it. I used to live with one of them and it was terrible. I had to pray a whole lot.
