I Still Miss Her!~ Part Two

One day after I had been back home about a month, just out of the blue, when we were emailing she told me I needed to return the articles I had stolen. What? I had not stolen anything from her. I had borrowed some movies off and on and had always returned them to their shelf within a day. I was always been respectful and careful of other people's things. We discussed it a little bit and all she would say is that she had found an article of jewelry and several movies missing after I had left. I had never even been in her room and she said that's where the article of jewelry had been. And, as far as the movies this women had hundreds of movies and never had catalogued any of them. We didn't talk again for a few days. She emailed me one day and said that I needed to get these articles I supposedly stole from her back to her immediately or she was going to contact the sheriff. What!? I told her to go ahead because I knew I hadn't taken anything from her. I didn't hear anything from her. I sent her one last email telling her how hurt I was and that after all these years for her to accuse really was insulting. I didn't want to hear from her again. That as far as I was concerned, under the circumstances, our friendship was over. I had stayed at this women's previous houses many times and this sort of thing never came up. She had just moved into this house and had had some men help her that she had met online. If anyone stoled anything it was probably them. Those who were members of this site back in the early days may remember in 2009-10 when I posted a blog about the demise of a freindship after being accused of...

Sadly the ones that are most likely to be accused are those that are closest to them. I was accused by my grandmother of stealing and cashing a check that was left on her table. My heart was crushed.

@celticeagle knowing the devastating effects that Alzheimer's has on a person, I realize that she had the disease at that time but was undiagnosed.

@ElusiveButterfly ...How devastating. I think my paternal grandmother had this also. Back then it wasn't as easy to diagnose as it is now. And, misdiagnosing is just awful.

I'm sad for you. I wonder why she was so sure it was you. That must have been hurtful.

I thought it was a joke at first. I don't steal. Very hurtful. And so many questions I will never have answered.

Very terrible. After all we had gone through, how we knew each other felt about honesty and ethics. Very sad to think she would up and accuse me of something.

It does make more sense that those helping her would have taken the things. I was thinking before that it could also be one of her daughter's friends, although I didn't know how old that daughter even was. If young, then that wasn't the answer. But, people misplace things all the time.

Her daughter is ill and doesn't have any friends over. She has Limes disease or Lupos or something starts with an L. Don't remember.

@celticeagle I thought you bought something for her computer for her and her friends. I guess I may have to read that part over again, maybe I misunderstood or something.

I enjoy a good mystery so I 'm hooked. I feel a bit uncomfortable because sometimes the prince doesn't save the day, and I think or at least assume this is not going to end well, on to part three.

No, it didn't. She justified her accusing me and it went downhill from there. Why would she want to strike up a friendship with someone again that she felt might have stolen from her? And, why would I want to be freinds again with someone that would accuse of stealing? Her accusation was insulting.

@celticeagle it must have been a point in your life where your heart was just torn out of your chest.

I would never say someone took anything without knowing for a fact that they did it.

That is a very good way to handle things. I wish she had handled this situation better.

Thanks. And it still is strange. Why would she accuse me? I will never have answers and always wonder. I don't think she knows and I think she has some serious problems. I mean that in the nicest way too.
