Mental health is of critical importance to leading a healthy, happy and purposeful life. Continual negative emotions like stress, anxiety, anger, depression could play havoc on a person’s mental health. The mind is a powerful 'instrument' responsible for maintaining good mental health. Hence, it is vitally important to do all we can to harbor a positive bent of mind. Nurturing a positive attitude is the key. It has the huge potential of dealing effectively with life’s set-backs and challenges. It can set the stage for making our lives productive and meaningful. Make sure to pay due attention to your personal needs. Life is too short to keep putting off doing things that brings you joy and promote your peace of mind. Pursuing any fun activity like listening to music, walking amidst nature’s bounty, gardening, painting and traveling, could work wonders for your mind, body and soul. So what are you doing to improve your mental health?

Both mind and body are interconnected. A healthy mind and a healthy body makes for a perfect combination.

I'd much sooner have a healthy mind than a healthy body. Thinking positively can help.

Very well said. Our mental health is most important. We need to keep ourselves busy in one activity or the other. It is said that - an empty mind is a devil's workshop. I, therefore, try to keep myself busy in activities which appeal me.

Mental health is quite important for us. However, it is also ignored by most of the people. Today I found more people feel depressed. In the past it might not be regarded as a illness, but today we all pay attention to it. If we have some mental problems, if we can seek help from friends and family, we should go to see a doctor. We have to trust the professional treatment.

You are right @youless Due to our fast paced living and stressful existence, both mental as well as physical health is fast deteriorating.

The ancient Romans said "Mens sana in corpore sano " (a healthy mind in a healthy body). Keep our body moving, do exercise and eat healthy to keep a healthy mind.

At my age i still try to learn new things to stimulate my brain. I try to learn to speak Japanese and Hindi just by watching tutorial videos on you tube. Daily exercise also helps make my brain and body feel rejuvenated. Mental health is really very important.

I've got two methods to keep metal health: keep learning and introspection. Keep learning new knowledge and accessing new information can keep the brain energetic and help me get out a rut. Introspection can help me find my mistakes and correct them. Thus I can keep improving my mind and sight.
