I need to clean up my inbox

Japan

I look at my email accounts and there are lots of unread subscription things sitting around taking up KBs or GBs. I find it boring, though, to sit there in front of my computer and delete emails. It is hard on the eyes and also the back. I have a plan to do a few every day, but it seems like more always come in than go out! How do you deal with this problem?

I don't get any notifications from here, Facebook or other things. Most of my stuff is for things I actually like to read and I will leave them there "in case" I want to read them again.

@petatonicsca but the email address we give in this site is what my notifications are. Maybe you have another email account, Ma'am?

@ridingbet No, I think I opted out of notifications when I signed up.

I do have the same problems with these email subscription thing. I think they even added me in the list in which I didn't even subscribe. Once I had to change my primary email to get over it because the important mails get missed among these ocean of emails. So now I'm careful on where I give my email address.

@petatonicsca Really?, then you should share it with us here, thanks.

@aju007 What I mean is that, for example, I am still getting "Saint of the Day" emails where now I also have a "Saint of the Day" app. I should cancel that subscription and just use the app. Other calendar-related things might be the same.

I should just sit down and figure out if there is anything I don't need any more because now there's an app for it.

If you have GB's then you have a lot of unread emails. I try and keep up with it but it never really happens.

@petatonicsca Yes, most of us do not have time to clean spams in our inbox. Maybe I will let them stay in it...

Yes, time is the biggest thing I don't have.

I deleted some every day for a time but they've all got well ahead of me now.

It's a never ending problem- so many emails from every company that's ever got a hold of mine. I sometimes try to take the time out to UNsubscribe to some of them but it gets overwhelming.
