~Sometimes You Don't See It At The Time~

I know there have been times in my life where I thought things were just so unfair and so bad. One example of this is when my husband hurt his ankle and lost his job because of it. I did not understand why it was happening and I thought it was the end of the world at the time. But...God knows what He is doing. My husband getting hurt was a BIG blessing actually! We found the church we now call our family, we have been so blessed and we have gotten to know some amazing people. If my husband never got hurt, we would have never found our church. So when your going through hard times, remember it might be the blessing you have been waiting for! Have you ever gone through something bad only to find out it was for your good?

Many times. Though I also went through bad times without any blessings coming of it. Such as getting fired from my job two years ago, unless that blessing is still coming. We'll see.

Yes, it happens but not everybody can see the good in the bad.

@boiboing At first I didn't see it either, but now looking back it makes perfect sense.

Some of the issues I have with my daughter and her mania usually just end up making us closer. Things happen for a reason. I hope your husband comes across a good paying job he likes and will last for a long time. I think that experiencing some hardship makes us more grateful.

@LovingMyBabies ...Sure it does. And if he is in carpentry work he could be getting more experience and if he shows the boss he is doing better then he should get a raise.

@celticeagle Everything definitely happens for a reason. I hope he keeps working, even though he doesn't make a lot at least its something. I'm grateful for that. Struggling does make us more grateful and it brings us closer to God as well.

Oh ya, am sure I don't fully understand the complexity of workings.. But I have been repeatedly shown the Lord works in mysterious ways which is more superior than anything I could have achieved myself

@drosophila We don't usually understand the plan God has but it is always for our own good. =)

@LovingMyBabies Absolutely, I don't think we have the foresight, even if we do, we don't necessarily have the complete bigger picture, even if we do, we still don't know ourselves fully... That is one lesson I have repeatedly learned.. I can get it my way.. but I won't like it for long.. best to walk with the lord and be delighted always

Yes, my husband was passed over for a job once but it turned out for the best. We had to wait a number of years though for the 'good' to happen.

@judyev Oh I know all about having to wait years at times for God's will to be done. But we were better for it in the end.

When I was my controlling, abusive ex-husband, I felt trapped. I prayed every day for a solution. If I was meant to stay in the relationship I needed guidance to show me how. If I was meant to leave I needed to be shown a way. The day it came to me I was elated beyond words. I knew that God would show me.

That is very true. Some things are blessing is disguise. And we still may never know it. We just have to pay attention. I know looking back on my life, if things didn't happen the way they did then I wouldn't be where I am today. And I am pretty content with where I am and I know things will happen for a reason.
