Here in New Hampshire our is"Live Free or Die" This was originated in 1945.Live Free or Die is one of the more extreme and most mocked state mottos. We here in NH is filled with true Yankees like the state's nickname is rock hard. does your state have a motto? The photo is mine.The plate is mine as my name is on there.

I like NH motto the best of all Fredo. Nice plate btw. This is CO state motto: Nil Sine Numine (Latin) It translates to Nothing without Providence or Nothing without the Diety. I dont really like it..strange to me.

We don,t have states here but counties and maybe cities There is no motto though and there will not be one any time soon lol

I'm making a collection of US plates...I'd like that one I like your motto too. Texas is friendship I think...weird as they execute a load of people every year which isn't very friendly. New Mexico is grows as it goes or something...very weird Don't see why people make fun of your motto as there are way more crap ones than yours.

We have no motto on plates, and we cannot have a personal plate like yours. Cities have motto, more or less interesting. Mine has a motto in Latin which is also used by at least 2 other cities, I cannot tell which one created the original, but there are certainly two plagiarizers : "My strength is in the trust of my citizens".

Switzerland is a small state and has not an official motto, but on all official documents this phrase appears (Latin) "Unus pro omnibus, omnes pro uno" - in English "One for all, all for one". We cannot have personalized plates.

I think it had a motto, not sure if it was changed or not - but we don't claim to live free that's for sure. There is nothing on our tags but the state name and the county name.

South Carolina's State motto is "Dum Spiro Spero" which in Latin means "While I breathe, I hope."
