Relaxing Times

Tuesday was a relaxing day. We ran to the store just to pick up a steak and a potato. Hubby was cooking that night. We decided to stay home. We have been out and about every day since we arrived.
He did his 45 minute walk out on the sidewalks. I did my walk on the beach with bare feet so if the waves ran over my feet, my shoes wouldn't get wet.
There are Interesting things on the beach. All kinds of sea shells, sea cucumbers sadly ending dead on the shore and broken sea dollars. The wonderful thing is there is no messy seaweed on the beach every morning. The beach is pristine and very white.
I joined some ladies in the pool doing water aerobics and enjoyed the gab fest. Met two from Canada, one from Buffalo and one from Kentucky. I've missed my YMCA buddies so it felt good to laugh with the ladies. They were all around my age and retired. We have a lot in common.
When I first met the ladies, I was coming from my walk on the beach. I stopped to say hello and they were curious about my walking sticks.
My therapist after my knee replacement, told me to get a pair to use when on uneven land (camping, hiking, walking on a beach). It makes it easier to walk and helps with balance problems.
One of the women said she was going to look for them for her husband who has difficulty when not on a flat surface. When she first saw them she thought thy were ski poles. I told her before I found out about them I used my ski poles for hiking...
Dinner was delicious, it was a comfortable day staying at home. We will do that again maybe next week.
I hope you had a relaxed day too.
The photo was Tuesday's sunset.

Lucky you, my sweet hubby is not a cook. I made breaded pork shops and roasted potatoes for dinner. We took a ride yesterday down to the Kohl's in Lady Lake and I bought lots of clothes for my teen boys!!

I love my walking sticks. They go with me everywhere I go to walk or hike. I love camping and they come in handy in so many different ways.

I tried Zumba but it hurts my knees, the YMCA promises Zumba for seniors and I will give it a try.

We are, it's laid back and fun. It's a bit cold here now but we can deal with it...

@PainsOnSlate A bit cold is still better than frigid.

Not a thing. It was just what we needed, to relax, rejuvenate, and enjoy each other's company.

Just one potato, it was pretty big, we shared it baked. We're old, we don't ear as much as we used to.

It was fun, the whole day but because we are on vacation most have been interesting. I ran into the women as I headed for a walk on the beach, they were in the pool, it was too cold for me so I told them I wifi look for them today, the pool is heated but whe air was almost freezing yesterday.

You can spend a huge amount at the sports store but my therapist said she bought some from Walmart and they were as good for what we wanted them for, balance and security from falling, 12.50 per pole, as per $300 for a high priced pair... So for $30 I 've had my pair for over Seven years and they are great.

@PainsOnSlate The difference in price between stores is incredible sometimes - and there isn't always that much difference in quality.

I did have a relaxing day yesterday, for the most part. It was rainy and dreary and a good day to stay home and play on the computer and do some writing. Today will be different. I'll be working outside the home and then hitting a few of my favorite consignment shops after work. You have a great day!

Thank you. I stopped at Good Will yesterday looking for beads. I use beads on the wires that hang my slate paintings. Yard sales and charity shops are the place to find interesting ones for next to nothing. It poured here with lightning and thunder yesterday so we were in most of the day too.

Mine look very similar, I use them all the time. I can telescope then to very small for packing away to full height like ski poles. So handy.
