I rare get headache yet alone migraine headache. Lat night I had a migraine headache so bad. I turn off all the light and closed my eyes. I don't like to take any pills unless I have to. The pain got worse. It was so bad at one point that I was crying. I have never had a headache this bad before. I took some motrin and finally fell asleep. I woke up once and still had the headache but it was nothing like before. I fell back asleep and this time when I woke up it was gone.
I have never had a head ache this bad and I hope, I don't again.

Yes, I have. It's also made me dizzy. One thing that I will do whether or not I take pills to remedy it is to get a washcloth and run it under cold water. When laying down, underneath some covers, I'll put that washcloth on my forehead where it hurts the worst. Sometimes I'll move it to the back of my neck, but it doesn't stay there very well especially when I'm laying on my back.
I don't take prescription meds for them as they don't happen all the time, but I do take Excedrin for Migraines. If I catch it early enough it won't get full-blown. My problem is I'll get these and sinus headaches and the same meds don't work for both.

@whiteream I've learned to head for the bathroom before the bed to get that ready, for once you lay down you don't want to get up. The wet cloth also helps you think of that on your head rather than how much it hurts.

@MarshaMusselman frustrating if the same meds don't work for each. If I take something soon enough I can avoid a full blown migraine but I sometimes wait because it might not be a migraine. Then if it does turn out to be a migraine I have to take more and it lasts longer.

@whiteream Imagine that my poor husband has this kind of migraines almost every day from more than one year. The doctor says it is stress and there is nothing they can do if he does not help himself. This does not help.

I have no idea what caused it. I have not had a head ache that bad in years. It could be stress but I don't think so.

I have migraines, but fortunately for me the visual auras are usually worse than the headaches.

But I have had a headache from nueralgia (the cold wind) that made me cry.

I am not sure what triggered it. I have not had one in so long. It could have been strees

It wasn't migraine. But I had this severe headache during the third month of my pregnancy that it made me cry. It was only that one time, I had experienced that kind of headache but I will never forget the pain. It was unbearable.
