What Is Your Problem?...Seriously?!

Seriously, that I did not just grind my teeth into dust today is a miracle! I bit down on angry and irritated words so many times! Some people just don't know when to stop.
Have you ever had people that do not stop complaining or nagging? Have you ever been called so many times that you feel like changing your given name?
And then when you do reach the end of your tether, so to speak, the people who have been pushing your buttons, have the sheer audacity, gall and cheek, to ask you what your problem is! Seriously?! I feel like I could chew steel and spit bullets!
You drive me insane, I snap, and then it is. "Sheesh, what is your problem?". That the top of my head does not literally blow into the stratosphere, is a miracle!
Do you know people who drive you insane, cause you to snap, and then calmly ask you what your problem is? How do you handle it?

several times that I encountered people like that. It seems I am the one with a problem with them because they do not listen. if somebody asks me that, I will just look the that person from foot to head, and not respond anymore, "because i should not stoop down to their level".

@ridingbet , that seems a great way to handle it, look the person up and down, a good glare, and then walk away. I think I will try that!

@bluesa yes and it never ails me, my friend. If she isn't worth our time, then let us not stoop down to their level.

All I hear is people complain around me 24/7 and I come on hear and vent about it and people call me the complainer. lol I have noticed the people who say stop whining so much are usually the biggest complainers.

Until someone is under a constant pressure situation, they have no idea how tough it is to bite down. I had to check if I still had teeth left. Since you deal with it so much @crossbones27 , I need not say much more.

@crossbones27 , so very true, ha ha, good luck with the dental bill, those that cause the grinding of the teeth should by all rights pay for the bills though. :-)

I think I only feel that way when my space is invaded, when I feel my right to privacy is being disrespected. When people do that I show them what the bottom of my hand looks like. See you can't see my face anymore just the bottom of my hand. In other words I can stop communication. It can be done easily without giving them any reason to ask that question. See this door? Now watch it close.
If I don't feel that way I tell them what my problem is.

@bluesa Been there. Biting the bullet some call it. I think of horses myself. Trouble is I hold things inside and then what? Some call that a skeleton in the closet or extra baggage? If people just talked English it would be a whole lot easier I think eh.

@Bluedoll , I hear you. I also tend to either blow my fuse and tell that person what my problem is...them....but on this given day it was someone I could not be so blunt with. So, I bit down. But, when I can, I am blunt, or, I walk away.

@Bluedoll , yeah, it is not good to keep it in, hence my rant here. If only it was possible to tell everyone what we thought the whole time without repercussions, but that is not always possible. Though, yeah, if we all talked English, so to speak, it would be simpler.

@DianneN , yes, stress is awful. I am glad you are able to be around those who do not annoy you. Most days I can shrug it off, luckily I have here where I can vent, when I can't shrug it off. I might just save my teeth yet. :-)

@bluesa Vent away! It's better than bottling it up inside. I just read a comment about your boss. Best to keep your mouth shut and take it in stride. If it is a work friend, just be professional and do your job. Hopefully, it will be forgotten.

I used to know a few but I banned them from my life. Life is much better without negativity. Good luck...

I tend to...well, I scream into my pillow. Or turn the music up really loud in the car so I look like I am singing to the music...:). Beyond that, I shave my head or...I'd be tempted to pull out my hair:). Actually none of those things are probably really great advice...:), but that is what I do;).

Hahaha! I think I will try screaming into a pillow after a tough day! Better than screaming at the person, so that is great advice @HebrewGreekStudies :D !

I knew many people when I was in the working world like that. Irritating fools that they were. So glad to be retired and away from garbage like that. Some people are just miserable and want you to join in or something.

I've came across certain individuals that are so oblivious and out of context that I go over the roof (on my insides). Whatever comes out of their mouth is incoherent and utter nonsense. These persons demonstrate a lack of awareness and empathy. I just avoid them.

@Ladypeace , some people really do seem clueless and, yes, without empathy. It is, if at all possible best to avoid them, goodness knows, I am going to try.
