A Lonely Light on a Rainy Night / myLot

As the rain fell the other night I went out to feed the front door cats and noticed the glow of the streetlight up the street and the reflection of its light on our driveway. I began to wonder if I might be able to take a photo that would do sight justice. Here is one of the photos I took that night. I will let all ya'll tell me if you think I caught the spirit of the lonely light on that rainy night.

Thank you. It was one of those serendipitous moments when the elements came together to form an evocative image and I was lucky enough to be able to capture it.

I will continue to practice as I know there will always be room for improvement. I am looking forward to this upcoming camping season to find some great new subjects for photographing.

Nice picture. Yes it does capture it. I find photos of 'lighting' are challenging .

I had to practice with several different settings to get just a few shots I liked. Thank goodness for digital photography. Otherwise I'd go bankrupt buying and developing film.

That's an excellent photo. I can easily picture it on the cover of novel. It perfectly captures a lonely night with perhaps a bit of hope in that maybe the world hasn't all shut down.
