Painting The Sky With Watercolors

I'm working on my iPad while on vacation. The sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico have been breathtaking but I've already posted a lot of the photos so I was looking in my older photos for my addition to the Paint The Sky Challenge.
I found one in my 2014 photos..
Then looked up from my iPad, and saw this shot just out my window. Right here in Florida. I knew it was cold outside, we expected freezing temps overnight...
I quickly got up, opened the door, went out on the deck in my PJ's (burr, it was cold), but look at what I found. This sunrise was just for me. It's the most beautiful I've seen since we arrived here. I'm so so glad I didn't miss it.
The challenge was started by Rachel Lovejoy. I have enjoyed every sky shot posted here on myLot. Thanks @Raelove

I live in the woods in a small town so the beach and the city is wonderful...for a while.

@AbbyGreenhill in Ontario we are a mile from Lake Ontario, which looks like an ocean, although it's full of of ice all winter...

I agree with you, we are from everywhere..it's nice we often see the same views no matter how far away from our cyber friends.

Florida is cold too. We spent most of the day teaser day in because it was too cold, I think the wind stopped so maybe today will be better.

That is a beautiful. ... i'm glad you saw it and thanks for sharing.... we have some lovely sunsets in spain...but i wouldn't know about sunrise as i'm never up at that hour...but perhaps i should be..seems i'm missing out on some pretty amazing skies and photos..

It has been unusually cold, in "F" around 35 a 40 in the morning and it warms up during the day. We had no idea it was going to be this cold although we knew we were not in south Florida where we usually go...we waited to get a place to stay too late, the places we would take were gone. We truly are loving this area. For so many other reasons, we just wear jackets and sweaters...
