May You Have a GOOD Day, Today!

I realize that we are not all in the same time zone, so you may be beginning your day, or be in the middle of your day, or ending your day.
It’s interesting to be able to communicate with others in another area that could be on the other side of the Earth.
When I was young, I had a pen pal in France. He was my same age and we wrote to each other for several years. Right now, I can’t even remember his name and I feel sad about that. If I could remember, it might even be possible, with modern technology, to find him again.
I did find some people from my past on Facebook and I was happy about that. I rarely go to Facebook anymore though.
Are you a fan of Facebook?

I log onto Facebook daily to see what's going on with my children & grandchildren. We have our own private group which I like.

Now that's a good way (private) to stay connected with family. I see my family every week, except for my oldest son. He's here this weekend however and I was just in North Carolina in December and spent a week with him and his wife. He calls me just about every week, so we don't email.

I don't visit Facebook that often. I'm having more fun at MyLot. It's already afternoon here and only a few hours remain before the day ends. But it's usually at this time and day (Sunday) that my husband and I go out with friends. So, yeah, I think there's a very high chance that I will indeed have a nice time today.

That's what I thought, that those on the other side of the Earth would be enjoying a different time of the day. I hope you had a great evening with your friends.
Here's something that you might want to look at about the Philippines typhoon Haiyan.
Survivors describe what happened when Super Typhoon Haiyan struck. Jehovah’s Witnesses organized in advance and mobilized immediate disaster relief efforts.

@Angel_15 The relief work that Jehovah's Witnesses do around the world is phenomenal. Even the military and other organizations that do relief work are amazed at how quickly Jehovah's Witnesses respond and how much they actually do to bring relief and hope to the people whenever there is a need.

@IreneVincent We've always had a lot of typhoons, but we've managed to survive. This will inspire many people.

Yes, Facebook can be useful for finding people. I have also found a couple people and a couple people have found me.

me on facebook but it certainly like many people there are very open minded.
The other is that you constantly write what where who was that even when he did things.
I prefer to sit here and write!

I prefer writing here also. At first, I was OK with Facebook, and it has some good points, no doubt, but I just grew tired of all the bad points.

@IreneVincent through FB and one other site I found my very best girlfriends from high school so I am very happy about that. We now keep in touch by email and by FB.

I haven't even logged into Facebook for a couple months now. I don't even remember my password.

Facebook is OK, I agree. I just don't care for it as much as I used to when I first got connected.

@IreneVincent I think that it's less than it said a couple years ago.

@softbabe44 It's over rated as far as I'm concerned but several people I know love Facebook and are on there every day.

I think it was about that time when I posted my discussion last night. You must live on the east coast.

Facebook has too much "drama" People say a lot of things on Facebook that I wouldn't tell my best friend. Why do people want to "air their dirty laundry" with the world puzzles me.

If you belong to a group, which I did with my business connections, Facebook was a necessity, but since I've retired, I don't need those connections anymore, although I do still stay in touch with a few of them by phone.
And a friends group or family group would also be useful. I just don't like all the cursing and drama that I have seen on there. I want to delete a lot of those people. I don't even know how I got connected with them in the first place, except for business.

I just get bored with all the things on Facebook. I need to go in there and "clean house". I need to delete a lot of people that were business connections and others that I barely know. I need to take a day and do that.
