I am in a quandary

I have just joined a new site and there I find this user who has blocked me here. They are merrily responding to my posts and have asked for friendship. I have a different ID there. This person who blocked me has had no issues at all for them to block me. We always enjoyed interacting until I was blocked which remains a mystery. What should I do? Should I interact with them there?

If I were you, I will just ignore them. No need to waste time and effort for them. If they had blocked you, it is a sign of insecurity.

@Bluedoll There is no why for such statement my friend. I just simply need to ignore these people. Why will l consume my energy if they don't like me. @HanVanMeegerin I do agree in your opinion.

@Bluedoll some people just think that thier opinions are better than others and simply cannot handle opposing views especially when they are on the wrong side of the facts.

Blocking is like a door that got slammed. If someone got mad at the office and slammed the door then changed jobs what would you think?

That slamming here was meaningless unless they have now had some psychiatric treatment and know their mistakes. As I have said, I do not even know why I was blocked

@Bluedoll Jokes apart why should psychiatric treatment be considered to be out of line. It is normal and everyone these days is making an attempt to not treat it that way.

@allknowing I don't know who this person is or why they blocked you. It is impossible to say. Obviously you were bothered with it as you did write about this previously. But seriously, psychiatric treatment? Do you think that might be just a tad out of line? If you are joking around pretty much anything goes but by your writing you do sound serious and not smiling about it. So yeah, not good.

I would be tempted to raise the subject and ask them why they blocked you here.

I will think about it. Actually we were getting along fine here exchanging pleasantries so to say and suddenly I notice I cannot interact any more. May be I will generalise and say that I have seen her at another site blah bla.....

First I want to say HI!!! I didn't realize until after I responded to your comment on my post who you were, As for your situation, wow, you do have a few choices. You can ignore the friend request or accept it and pretend to be someone else and play that role, or you can tell the truth, taking a chance he or she will leave you alone, or another option is to let him or her get to know you, see if you become good friends enough for you to tell him or her the truth; then he or she will either throw a fit and delete you from the friend list, or might think, |wow, this is a really nice person" Personally, depending on if I want a friendship, I would accept, try to make a connection and then take a chance and tell the truth.

What I am afraid is they might do it again the very way it was done here at a time we were on the best of terms (lol)

@allknowing Oh, so you were good friends here? If so, then I would just tell this person who you are and let it go from there.

I would do as @Asylum has suggested. Just ask them why they blocked you on this site - it's best to get it out in the open.

@allknowing I can understand your point, but I would also consider the obvious. If the block here was inadvertent it may be rectified, whereas if they genuinely blocked you for no reason and do so again then it is not the loss of a genuine friend.

The blocking here was done for no rhyme or reason. I am afraid there could be a repeat of that

This is a bit tricky. I guess if they don't know your real identity at the moment, they are helping you earn pennies. They will be a bit embarrassed if they learn that they blocked you on here, won't they? :)

I am still fuming about it as I do not even know why I was blocked

@allknowing That would be really annoying. I guess you ccould always block them on the new site - and leave them wondering. But then you would be as bad as they are. :)

@JudyEv So far I had blocked only one here and that person has now been unblocked by me. We both know why it became necessary to block and now unblock (lol)

I would interact with that person on the other site, as since you have a different username, more than likely that person won't figure out it is yout anyway. You could do what the others have said thaough and that is to ask what yu did to be blocked. You will never know unless you ask.

@allknowing I can see that it is, and I don't know what else to tell you except what I wrote in my response. It really makes no sense to block someone for no reaason, and I don't understand why people do it either.I am like you though, that it is hard to ask someone something like that, as I would have a tendency to just forget about it and hopfefully that person will not do it again, and will start interacting with you.

Oh no!! Please not at all. I am in the right direction.I do not want to name this site there and that site here. I am not sure how genuine that site is. I will wait and watch.

I tried commenting on this last night and got knocked offline. Anyway, there does seem to be a lot of blocking for unknown reasons these days. Sorry it has happened.

I am not sure there will be a repeat of this at the other site. I am well liked there at the moment and if such a thing happens there I wonder what others will think. I am in a quandary really (lol)

@allknowing one thing I started writing last night before I got knocked offline - a month or so ago here I seemed to be blocked by a man whom I'd introduced to this site - we've known each other online for years so I was surprised. I was working on my tablet at the time. I tried again here at the laptop later and I wasn't blocked at all. With all the unexpected blocking that seems to be happening at the moment, I'm wondering if some servers and some computer systems work better with the site than others. On an online auction site I work on, I can upload photos through Chrome but not Firefox. So, computers do seem to have a will of their own.

Why not to ask them the reason why they blocked you? After they reply you can decide what to do.

@allknowing Well, if you fear a rude reaction, you should stop to interact with them.

I think this person is no great loss if they block you again but I would probably ask 'Why' whilst I had the chance.

Can you send them a message and ask what they think you did to cause them to block you? It may have been in error.
