Posting more than one discussion in a day is perfectly fine here

There was a post here about users writing posts one after another resulting in posts getting ignored. From the responses received most denied posting more than one discussion a day as though if they had posted more than one their posts would be ignored. It becomes necessary to post more than one in a day and in fact the OP who wrote that post has done that - posting sometimes even 4 a day but not in succession. It is possible the first post may not evoke interest among the community and so writing another seems logical and reasonable. I do that too. So please go ahead and post as many posts as you wish as posting more than one even in succession is not a violation here. Sorry to be advising you but such posts seem to get many responses

If people read the guidelines, they should know that there are no limits to the number of discussions you can post here. Of course those who post 20 discussions in 30 minutes cannot expect a lot of comments.

I hardly see anyone posting that way. But the impression that many hadm reading that post was it is not a good idea to post more than one. As I have said in my post sometimes the first post does not get the attention of myLotters and therefore it becomes necessary to post something else. I do that all the time.

@LadyDuck, I cannot afford to read many discussions a day. I have so many works in school, always tired, but I still a lot 1 hour to be here to comment.

Everyone can do their own thing here just as long as it is within the guidelines. Those who post several posts in rapid succession and then don't interact on them are later the same ones who complain about their earnings and the advice that you read was probably going in that direction. More posts does not equal more money in the bank, like some think it does.

I think the best would be when they complain they should be referred to their activity then and there. I am not sure if those who needed to read that post read it at all going by the kind of responses that post received.

There is no set limit on the number of posts, but it is impractical to post many in succession.

@Asylum They belong, I am sure to the very small minority which they themselves cut down on their own. The question is not about spacing but posting what interests the myLot community and most importantly the followers should follow you.

If I go to the most recent posts and see six submitted by the same member, the odds are I will read only one. If it just consists of one sentence I move on, without liking or commenting.

The idea of posting more than one and ofcourse well spaced out is to cover different interests..

@Morleyhunt I have kind of a pattern. I do a lot of responding as you could see in my profile. Some do not have anything to post. But we need to have posts so that we can respond. Posting one after another is the only thing one could avoid.

@allknowing I can't say that my income increases if I post more than once a day. Today I have not even submitted a new post. I've just been reading, liking and. One ting. I've been involved in some very lively discussions.

People can put up as many discussions as they want. Nothing in the guidelines says otherwise. That being said many members don't like the same member putting up multiple discussions quickly....that's their prerogative too. I don't like certain things on here that seem to be within the rules now, I've just got to deal with it. We all have the option to skip stuff. As long as admin lets things stay we've all got to suck up out dislikes and deal with it I've certainly had to do it lately....but I realise I don't own the site nor do I have a say over the rules here

That post did not say that it was a violation but the justification by some that they do not post more than one almost seemed that if they did, then they did something wrong.

@allknowing each to their own but the only people who can absolutely 100% say things are wrong are admins. Members probably get it right 99% of the time but maybe lower as there are loads of posts up now that would have been removed under old mylot rules. Admins need to make some decisions and add to the guidelines.

Not that those who post sporadically get gutted with responses. Getting responses is yet another story nothing to do with how, where, but when is important

As what I have mentioned on a previous discussion I have responded earlier, it's not after how many discussions you post in a day but it's how you interact. Yes, it's not a violation. However, I do hope others who does more post in a day would also learn to interact and try to answer those that have commented. They are not after all receiving credits for posting too many posts alone in a day.

I go into the "no response" section several times a day. I see people who hardly ever get answers to their discussions. Some have one after another. I do get annoyed to see one discussion after another from the same person in a short period. From what I understand, you don't get paid for posting but only for the interaction you do with others. The posts get people to interact with you so you can answer them back.

@anh101 I think you have to post enough so people don't forget you but not so often that they get tired of you.

I average 1 to 4 posts a day. So long as they are spread out, I don't see a problem. But I hate to see a page full of the same person as you know they either didn't take any care over what they wrote or they won't take care to respond to comments.

That kind of activity is short lived. They themselves will realise it.

I usually just write what is on my mind when it strikes me. that may mean a couple in a day, but then i may skip a few days. i know it often means less comments, but that's ok too. i just do what i have time to do.

I wish I had the where with all to come up with more than one or two posts a day. We need all the interesting and wide variety of posts as possible to maintain and generate interest. Perhaps the complaint is about a person posting one after another in rapid succession so as to fill the recent activity page and annoy readers who see just one name. That's overkill. At PP, you could post up to 15 daily and people followed a strategy of posting throughout the day.
