Is "love at first sight" thing real?

many people claim to fall in love with their partners or crushes as and when they had seen them for the first time, but does it actually happen?

Love is a crazy thing that happens when we least expect it to. And by the way, it may happen at the first sight. Who can explain this? I once had a certain crazy idea that i would fall in love with a girl with a certain name... years down the line, the girl whom i fell in love with happened to be the one that i was searching for for over ten years. And yes! She was first sight love too..

its hormones,we actually decide if we like someone with in the first 5 seconds of meeting that person. My husband I meet when I was 16 and he was 15 years old in school in our History classes. I liked him when I first meet him and flirted with him our last year of high school since we sat next to each other. He liked me I liked him it took a few years before we started going out but we are together been married for almost 6 years and have 3 kids together.

It's great if it's mutual, but a curse if it's one sided. I fell in love with a girl at first sight when I was 17. It took me years to get her out of my head. I haven't seen her in 12 years and I still have her face in my thoughts from time to time. It's a curse for me.

Ya but I feel this is not true.Reason being you can get attracted towards a person meeting for the first time but falling in love doesn't occurs so quickly.It takes time.
