What is flat, red, white and best served pipping hot?

United States

This is a simple question and has a simple answer and I would bet that most of you know the answer. Let's see if you are correct.... Today is National Pizza Day! Super Bowl Sunday two days ago is the day most pizza is sold. Too bad Sunday wasn't National Pizza Day. Since we live in the boonies we don't have 'pizza joints' so my husband makes his own. He is 1/4 Italian and we always says that 1/4 part is his stomach. He loves Italian food of any kind, but prefers his own sauce especially for pizza. Since I already have dinner planned I won't tell him today is National Pizza Day or he would have the flour out making a mess in my clean kitchen right now! Maybe I'll tell him tomorrow and pretend! Will you be celebrating National Pizza Day? Photo: ://pixabay.com/en/dancing-party-celebrate-disco-156041/

@Jessicalynnt I think over the years my husband has tried every store-bought one available and rejected every one. Some I told him to reject as his breath smelled like garlic for days after.

@AbbyGreenhill not sure they have them, but I do know their 5 dollar reg price beats the other places around, other than frozen and frozen is not that much cheaper but appears way cheaper in quality

I did not know that it was National Pizza Day, for us today is "Fat Tuesday", Carnival parades everywhere, in fact I do not move from my home.

@AbbyGreenhill I think that New Orleans is the place where it is mainly celebrated. Here in Switzerland there is nothing so important, in Italy there is the Carnival of Venice.

@LadyDuck Of course the Big Easy celebrates it big time, but I believe there are smaller celebrations all over the US. I have been to New Orleans several times since that's where my father's family is from but I never had a desire to go during Mardi Gras.

@AbbyGreenhill Yup Chicago is known for it's deep dish pizza and while I like it, it is too much dough. You get filled up on the dough. I prefer thin crust.

We didn't celebrate National Pizza Day. We don't usually make our own pizzas but sometimes buy one.
