Fat - Ugh!

So, I scheduled myself to read at mass tonight - Ash Wednesday. I read at a funeral a couple of weeks ago. So I go to put my bigger pair of black dress pants on. I don't wear dresses very often and church is getting pretty casual. I could believe that I couldn't button up my pants. Did I wash them? Did they shrink? What the heck? I've been on the treadmill at least 4 days a week for over a month. I changed to another pair of black dress pants. They're stretchy but not quite as long and I wore 3 inch heels with them. But they were still tight. I came to the conclusion that I am going to have to go buy a couple of pairs of dress pants. Like I've got the money for that. So this is the post-menopausal effect and I hate it. I'm exercising and gaining weight. What the heck? Maybe I should go back on the crackers and gingerale diet that I have to turn to when my IBS bothers me. Can something please go right for me in my life? Just one thing. And I have another funeral to read at this Saturday, and I'm reading at mass on Saturday as well. If I don't get a new pair of pants I don't know what I'm going to wear.

I gained about 10 pounds after menopause--but after that it has stabilized--keep exercising--it is good for you regardless of weight loss or gain

I'm trying but it is discouraging... as discouraging as my writing (or lack thereof).

@patgalca Find something that makes you feel good--I like yoga and tai chi--and I feel great when I am doing it and after--

Having fibromyalgia doesn't help. I've been in quite a bit of pain (could be due to the treadmilling) and had to take a bit of a break this week. That and I was so busy I didn't have time (or energy).

@LadyDuck I had a massage on Monday. I told her that I woke up with a lot of pain in my left leg. She rubbed my leg and I squealed. She said my fibro had been "activated" (weather). After the massage my right groin area hurt for two days and didn't think walking was doable. Feeling better today (except for my wicked right arm), and hopefully will get back on the treadmill today.

@patgalca The knee I hit at the end of December still hurts, I cannot walk too long and it's hard to climb steps.

All a part of aging, I don't like it but it is what it is.
