A long trip and a hazardous outcome.

Yesterday was definitely not a boring one. The day started with a trip to the car mechanic regarding a windscreen wiper that kept drying out. We went in two cars because we did not want to waste hours in the garage. The drive there was fast as my husband was ahead and I had my orders to keep up with him so that drivers would not overtake and come between us. I knew the way but I did my best to keep up with him anyway. It was fast drive.
The mechanic said it would take an hour and we could wait but we needed to go to the optician to pick up my reading glasses. When we returned the mechanic said he needed more time.
We went shopping for meat for the cats, had a coffee and bought an elastic band thingy which is supposed to strength back muscles and then returned to the mechanic. This time he said he had discovered mouse droppings near the wiring, there was the smell of dead mouse and he would not do any work as it was a 'biological hazard'.
We returned home at a more leisurely pace and I did allow one or two drivers to overtake on double lines approaching bends and coming between us because I prefer a bad driver in front of me rather than tailboarding me.
It was a long winding route because the National Road was being blocked by striking farmers.
A local mechanic with a pressurized hose has agreed to clean up the 'hazard' for us next week. The windscreen wipers are still unusable.

Never heard of 'biological' hazard. That's a new one of me. Sounds to me like he just didn't want to do it.

So the entire trip was for not. But a few things accomplished. Sure enough if you don't get them fixed it will rain.
