This weekend was the last water polo game of the season for our high school sophomore granddaughter.
She played nearly the entire game against a nearby high school that is her biggest rival. Our granddaughter's team won their last game of the season! Our granddaughter is wearing the red cap in the picture, the one with the number 13 on it.
She loves water polo and had a great season. Most important, she made some wonderful friends and got in great physical condition!
My husband and I had a terrific time watching our granddaugter's team play. We're already looking forward to next year!

Oh, my! I am not a strong swimmer and I don't like to swim too far out into the ocean, but I am able to swim. However, I prefer to watch my grandkids in the water. They are like fish!

@DeborahDiane Lol...that is the way I was with my son. I'm usually a quiet person but something just happened to me.

@simone10 - Isn't it funny how excited we can get at sporting events?

I have to admit that I have embarrassed my grandkids more than once when I cheer for them! LOL

I think the new friends she has made are the most important part ... plus the fun and the exercise, of course!

Congratulations to your granddaughter and her team. I am missing most of my grandson's hockey games being here in Florida but I will catch some during the off season I hope.

I am amazed by how much work it is. The players have to tread water and/or swim ferociously for an hour, while trying to make goals at the same time.

@DeborahDiane my parents live very close to my sister & were able to watch most of her kids' activities as they grew up. They usually come up to watch my kids once or twice a season because they are just al little too far from us. I'm sure they'd love to come more

@jillybean1222 - I think it is wonderful that your parents are able to see your children's activities even once or twice a season. That is great!

We have seven grandchildren and only get to enjoy the activities of two of them on a regular basis. I hope I get to watch others over the years, too.

Thanks for the congratulations. I am always happy when I see my grandchildren participating in team sports as well as individual sports. I think sports build good life skills for both girls and boys.

I love watching them because, by cheering and getting excited about the game, I feel as if I am participating in a small way. LOL

Looks like she was giving her opponent a run for their money in that picture! She and her team are outstanding, you must be very proud of her!
