Happy Freakin' Valentine's Day

Tony and I decided to go out for Valentine's day on Friday, less crowded. We had a nice dinner at Cattlemen's steak house, and then went up to Red Hawk Casino. I won about $30, and decided to "take the money and run". The car had other ideas. My car has a chronic, intermittent electrical problem. It won't start, and then it will start, usually on the second try, but sometimes on the third, fourth or fifth try. The dealer usually can't get an error to come up on a diagnostic, but so far they have replaced the radio, the starter, the starter regulator, and they've put in a ground wire for the starter. Usually when they fix it, it stays fixed for a while. This time (starter regulator) it didn't. Anyway, Friday night it didn't start, and it didn't start, and it didn't start. Not the battery, as the car had electricity the entire time. For an hour it didn't start. I went back into the casino, hit the bathroom (at the half hour mark), came back out, and it still didn't start. When I got back, we called AAA. About 20 minutes later, I tried it again, and it started. So we called AAA back, cancelled the call, swung by and got Tony's car, and left the car at the dealer. On the way home, I said to Tony, "Happy freaking Valentine's day". We laughed so hard. Saturday morning we dropped Cary off for wrestling, hit IHOP for breakfast and went over to the Dodge dealer to check the car in. They told me (shock) that I probably wouldn't get it back that day. Duh. So we bench warmed the bleachers at Granite Bay High School, and watched wrestling. Cary finished fourth. Ok, fourth out of four, but he did get to stand on the podium. Yesterday we went shopping, and were going to go hit a park or something (nice weather). That's when Tony's little godson called, "pick me up". His dad was gone for the day, and he didn't want to stay where he was. There went the afternoon, so he played with Cary for a while, and then we went up to Natomas to get Sassy, who still isn't adopted. I made some pork with Jamaican jerk sauce (Dearra saw the package and wanted to know why we needed to know the nationality of the jerk). Tony said, "thanks for the nice Valentine's dinner". The kids turned up their noses and had frozen dinners. After dinner, Tony took Jerod back home. Then he called me, and said he had a flat tire. Ugh. Got home around 9:30, told me he had TWO flat tires. New ones, too. So I told him "Happy Freaking Valentine's Day" again. Today he's dealin with the tires, and I'm waiting to hear about my car. I bet they don't find anything despite it having refused to start for a whole hour. It did start when I gave the service guy the key. Sigh... How was your Valentine's day.

Sounds like you had a busy weekend! You drive a Dodge that is the issue . i ended up working, and then came home to relax, trying to catch up on Swagbucks, and MyLot.

I know it's long past Valentine's Day, but I was scrolling through your past discussions looking for what happened to make sense of the discussion "Guilt by association" when I came across this one. Sorry about the car and hope that it's finally fixed by now. I won't give my standard Mopar speech, lol. This discussion made me feel homesick. Red Hawk is my most favorite casino in CA, and whenever I go back home for a visit I always have to stop in. Granite Bay HS is where my older children went to school. Hope all is going well in your part of the country.

I hope they find something because if they do not the whole thing could happen again.
