They Just Won't Work Right

Band Aid

I wonder why the makers of band aids cannot make them so they stick to your skin anymore. I have bought a number of different brands but they all seem to be the same and you put them on, within a few hours they are peeling off. When I was a child they would stay on forever it seemed like so what has changed? Do you have a certain kind of band aid that you buy that will stick for hours? Tell me the best brand to buy.

@Marlina I guess they are all made shabbily these days even the better brands.

I also find that many of them these days can be tricky to open. I can remember when every one had a blatant folded end on either side of the centre so that you could peel the protective cover off easily. Nowadays I find some that are difficult to get hold of and it is like trying to open the end of a partially used sellotape roll with your fingernails.

@Asylum You are correct in that they are also hard to open and half the time I tear the band aid along with the packaging. I hate them.

We call them 'plasters' in the UK, but haven't had to use any lately, so can't help.

I have no problem with it. I think if the swelling may prevent from sticking it.

Even when you have to use like neosporin with the band aid for a cut it never stays, so annoying.

@jstory07 Isn't it awful to put them on and have to put them right back off and then use even more and the same thing happens.

oh man tell me about it! I also get annoyed with those ones that claims they are water proof but just fall off like 15 minutes later with or without water even touching it.

I find the fabric ones stick better than the plastic ones. I just bought another box the other week and made sure they were the fabric ones. Have a blessed day
