Gays are worst than animals?

I cannot believe what the People's Champ Manny Pacman just said in his latest interview for this election season. Sure, most people will say it's a point of view of some one but wow, coming from some one that is not just admired by Filipinos but by the rest of the world. Others defended him were mostly christians and other conservatives saying it's just the point of view and he is speaking from his beliefs and telling the truth. But the Gay and Lesbian community, however, they were so at him. That some groups even petitioned to have him removed as the endorser of NIKE. In fact, Local Showbiz talk show Guru's here are really mad and lost respect for him. Now, political groups have rallied to spread the word of not voting for the Boxer! yes, he is still technically a boxer despite of having a position of a law maker. I wonder, what would the gays and lesbians, even the transgenders feel in his district for what he just said. That's the terrible price of voting incompetent officials. I've said this from the beginning, if he will do politics, then he should have left boxing and showbiz. but he didn't, now insanely running as a senator. I think no apology would cover up the words that just came out of his mouth. The look on his face when he said that I attach as a picture.
Manny Pacquiao causes outrage after declaring gay couples "worse than animals" - Issues apology after declaring gay couples "worse than animals" I must state...

He may get elected over there but he'll have no respect here. He's way out of touch with many western politicians. Personally I think he's a c word that I can't say here.

If he gets elected to any high office maybe the russians will like him but that's about it as we've moved past this crap in most of europe.

I've been against him since he started touching politics, and even basketball were he gets to be playing coach which has insulted a lot of players who went through hell to get where they are now while he did it with money. I think he is out of touch, he probably gonna get a PR officer one of these days but damage totally done. @Mike197602

Actually that animal gay comparison did no originally come from Manny, it actually appeared first in Miriam Santiangos Facebook fun page. This is how it was posted:

@Letranknight2015 This is why i read posts at FB that state like this : "Why nobody reacted when Miriam spoke this but when Pacquiao spoke the same, so many reacted."

I wonder if they can dig this up against Mirriam Defensor Santiago lol Im sure any one who's against her will raise this issue with what she said before.@salonga

@salonga Maybe back then it was 2012 and it wasn't the heat of the election at that time. well, i do think she is open minded, maybe some one made that meme or something. i couldn't find anything about what she said on the video.

Wow, people only see the negative more than the positive things, huh? All the good things Manny Pacquiao has ever done in the history of his life is completely wiped out because he was speaking his opinion. Take note, opinion and not fact. I somewhat pity all of you. It's not that I am defending him. In fact I find Manny's beliefs to be inaccurate, and for me, it was insulting. I've got gay friends and I've got a gay cousin who I love with all my heart. But putting emotions aside, just forgive the guy. He doesn't know what he's saying because he is not aware that the majority of the animal kingdom are practicing homosexual behaviors. He's just ignorant on certain facts--just as we are ignorant of certain facts because we just don't know. And when I say forgive, I mean look past this 1 negative remark and see all the good things he has ever done. That's what being a Christian is.

@Letranknight2015 I'm glad to be back--even for just a few days. I couldn't find the time to frequent myLot that often due to my day job. And I really miss this. Anyways, I respect your opinion. And I respect Manny's. And even though his attention is divided between public service and his boxing, as long as he does everything right and get it done is what matters to me. Actions speaks louder than words. I don't care for wordy individuals, I only care for those who are worthy in the position. So yeah... our opinions on this don't really match,ne? But I'm cool with you.

Well, what matters now I think is what GOD thinks of what he's done in his whole. And this is the reason why the backlash didn't seem to bother thim much @SinfulRose oh by the way, nice to see you again But for me, him being on public service and still doing boxing is one thing i could never agree with.

I read about that the other day and was shocked he actually said that. Well, he blew it - that's for sure. He can believe whatever he wants, but it was stupid of him to say what he did, especially being the position he is in or wanting to be. And it was the way he said it - it was bashing! I think he lost respect from a lot of people this day . . .

Hello @much2say the way he said it was really some thing he did not prepare to say i think. though it's true it came from the bible but I've seen some politicians senatorial candidates who have said better. big mistake that's for sure

@much2say He can still win though. majority of Filipino Politicians are anti-LGBT. Heck even our only Gay senator is against Gay marriage. he is hated by the LGBT community here though. Our Showbiz scene is controlled by LGBT. They may not dominate politics but they were the puppet masters of the television and movie scene.

He is a Born Again Christian Pastor/Faith Healer. So he is pretty much a bible thumper. He should have refused to answer politically controversial questions because it will be a lose lose situation to answer them. He now lost his Million dollar a month deal with Nike. Before this controversy, Nike actually wanted to make a deal with an openly gay athlete.

@Letranknight2015 The last time he said something about Gay marriage, He lost his match even though he technically won it with points. Most likely the judges were pro-lgbt rights. he forgot his career centers with the US. A country that loves their LGBT.

I don't know what made him revert from being a Catholic to Born Again christian, he degraded himself to be a literal person who reads the bible. Yes, he could have just refused it, but I think this isn't the first time he made statements against gay marriage, it did too back in 2013. @CaptAlbertWhisker now all he does show is his training. he should dropped himself from the political race while there is still a chance. So, he got their excuse all along

I came out when I was 12 years old in 1948--I have been a gay activist since I was 16--I am now 80 and the stupidity of people still surprises me. I won't look at the video because his face will look like the thousands--yes thousands--before him. All I can suggest is if you think he is wrong than don't spread his word!!!

@GreatMartin Nothing I can do with the media, but I've not media news about this and his interviews for quite some time now. sad though he's running for a government position, that's why he's being interviewed.

Well, @GreatMartin he's running for the Senate in my country, it's a must to spread the interview so that ignorant people but not in terms of respecting others gender will see this and change their minds. I've been against him running for political position for a while and seems people think he's ok. Now, this post proves he is not ok to make laws of the land.

@Letranknight2015 Again--from 65 years of experience--he will only pick up those who believe him which is why he shouldn't be given 'free' publicity like this

It's gonna hurt his international reputation and credibility as well as his pocket ( because of lose of endorsements) more than anything else. I think he makes around 12 million dollars on endorsements alone. As to his political career here, it would cause a dent but not at a magnitude that is comparable to the international backlash simply because the Philippines is a majority conservative Catholic and Christian country, reformed but has never really caught up yet with regards to international standards of liberalism. I said "dent" because he would lose votes in the LGBT community and supporters but he would also gain votes from hard line conservative Christian/Catholic and probably Muslims(?) ( all this is just my personal analysis and is in no way an indication of where i stand, I would rather keep that to my self)

I think we have to live and let live. Everyone does not think the same, and it takes all kind to make the world turn. It is not a one size fits all world we live in. It doesn't matter if they are gay/lesbian or straight heterosexual. It is not our place to judge.

Boxing career, Well not really, as long as he can still win. International endorsements would be ruined though. His career centers in the US and USA is all about Gay rights. His political career in the Philippines might still be successful because most politicians here are conservative Christians who are against gay marriage.

@CaptAlbertWhisker well, with the last interview with karen davilla, looks like he's getting more respect than ever before. now, that is something, but that remains to be scene in the election.
