Measles and a Sucker

I had the measles when I was about seven or eight years old. My mom had gotten me a huge round sucker with jelly pieces on it for the face. She put it in the vase on the table in the livingroom where I was decked out on the couch at my grandmother's. My grams was my caregiver while mom worked and we lived just across the drive in a little trailer. I was a sick cookie for several days and that sucker looked so good to a little girl who hadn't had a treat in what seemed like months. My fever was high and when I slept I dreamt of running and being pursued by a man. I was running over a plowed field and running and running. The man was dressed nicely and looked normal but was continuing to chase me across the field for what seemed like eternity. Never any deviation in this scenario. Running, the man, plowed feild. That was in the late 50's. Fast forward fifty five + years and here I am still having this dream. Same one. I have had two bad hits to the front right side of my fore head in auto accidents and this has left my memory suffering and I don't dream often. Except when I am sick enough to have a high fever. And, I will have that dream.

My daughter had chicken pox in her 30's. Seems weird.

@celticeagle did she have it really weakly when she was younger or was that the first time she's ever had it?

Now that is very strange Celtic. All these years later and the same dream. I have no idea what to say about it. I feel it is spiritual in nature though.

From what I have read it means I have the same problem in my life and am symbolically being chased by it. Of course being sick may be the problem.

@celticeagle I am not sure Celt..it may be I understand what you are saying. It may be illness as you say, but somehow I am so superstitious on top of being ill that it strikes me as so.

Curious how it seems to occur only in the same circumstance you had it in to begin with. I hope your recollection of it today doesn't mean you are sick. I've talked some about my recurring dreams, but these seem to happen when I am quite stressed.

Seems to be some reason why these type of dreams repeat themselves. I was just going over my files and found this that I had written a couple months ago.

This is very strange, the same dream after so many years and only when you are sick. There is surely a reason.

That's weird. Have you ever looked up what it means? Also is the man a man you have seen in your past, or knew?

Yes, I have looked it up. It's been going on for years. No person I recognize yet always the same person.
