To say she was not a prolific writer is an understatement but the one she did write has certainly beome a classic.

To be honest, I was more surprised to find that she was still alive until today! Of course it's still sad news. My eldest son has been studying To Kill a Mockingbird at school, and I've touched on it during my English degree, so we know a little. :)

I loved that book we had to read it for school. So sad that so many peoples lives have been lost so far this year with only 2 months into the year. RIP she will definitely never be forgotten.

I never did get to grips with To Kill A Mockingbird. Gerald Durrell and Laurie Lee were more my style, until I found Terry Pratchett.

A great mind is gone. She did have a second book.Go Set a Watchman. There was a lot of controversy about whether to publish. It was the book she wrote first. She did not think it was good enough. She was in a nursing home and might not have been able to give proper permission. I think the money interests won out. And we will be richer for it when we get to read it.

Her second book was only just published in time wasn't it? Although it could have been published later I guess.
