I can't change my voicemail greeting?

I have a prepaid IPhone 4s from verizon.I can't change the greeting on my voicemail anymore. I can't even get it to respond when I press the "record" button to record a new one. Oh and I can't set it back to the default greeting either. It's like that entire screen is unresponsive. Am I going to have to set it back to factory default and will that work? I cleaned the screen of my Iphone 4s, I've turned wifi off and tried it. I usually have my Iphone on all the time but day before yesterday it was off for an entire day. It's not to do with that though as it wasn't working (the greeting) before that. Any ideas? Oh and don't say "upgrade" unless you intend on forking over the money for it!

I never had a problem changing voice mail.. No idea but I think if you do set back to factory it'd work. But don't forget to back up your stuff if you do.

@infatuatedbby Mine is something like "Hi you've reached amber, please leave a message." I want to change it to "Hey you've reached amber leave a detailed message for crying out loud!"

I don't speak very highly of Verizon. Had quite a run in with them back in 2009. I got reimbursed though. I think you should report it. Hope you are able to get it to work. Sorry I don't have any jewels of wisdom to pass on to you.

I might call verizon and see if they have anything they can do. They'll probably tell me to factory reset it. I've never personally had verizon service but the ex had it back when it switched from alltel to verizon. We had one incident but they fixed it for us.

Some upgrades are free. I have no thoughts on this for you. I hope you get it figured out.

I am not very good with technology either. Especially in terms of phones.

I know you said you have prepaid but there should still be a customer service number to call. Call them and explain the problem see if they can help. If that doesn't work it might be a device problem see if you can cash in insurance or manufacturer replacement through their limited warranty if it hasn't expired. If that doesn't work out for you go on youtube and maybe you can find a tutorial on repairing those issues. Let me know what you do and how it turned out for you.

I am no ttoo terribly bothered by it as long as it still works. I can still receive messages so the voicemail itself does work. As for any warranties, it's been too long so nope no warranties.

@ScribbledAdNauseum That is a bummer but hey at least it works and you are happy with it so that is all that matters.

I've never had an iPhone so I wouldn't begin to guess at what you might need to do. Have you looked online for a forum on the iPhone 4 to see if anyone might have a solution?

What I found I've already tried. I may have to just set it back to factory default. I hope it works or otherwise it would have been a waste. The iphone's Ios is still updated but I doubt apple supports iphone 4s issues otherwise anymore.
