We do not know if anybody had seen trees talking. But in ancient mythologies, there are trees which do talk. These are gifted trees which not only talk but also give prophecy. All most in all mythologies of all ancient civilizations, and old books of various countries we come across trees that speak and talk.
In the ancient book of Firdawsi, there is a mention of talking tree. It is said that Alexander the Great has come across a talking tree.
In the Indian mythologies, there is a tree of the sun and the moon. During day time while the tree speaks like a male but in the night in speaks like a lady.
Prophet Mohammad while delivering his sermons was sitting under a date palm tree which used to convey him the entire conversation.
There is also a mention of Oracular Trees that speak to individuals and the Druids were able to consult these trees with an altruistic tendency but not for any selfish motives.
In Ireland a person is supposed to consult leprechaun, that is capable of telling where the gold is.
The Elm tree is supposed to have participated in a conversation with two philosophers in Greece.
Are they are not mysterious plants and trees? The modern science instead of sending missiles and rockets to the outer space should concentrate on this subject which may, at least, prove fruitful and useful for the mankind.

A big part of me says trees can't communicate with us.
A part of me says they can and we just aren't tuned in enough to hear them.
Can't say for sure but I know I feel very chilled out in the forest on my own so maybe they speak to the subconscious.

Yes. You are right. We are not tuned enough to hear them. Whenever we visit some place we feel great relief. Our way of thinking and looking at things changes. That is the effect of trees only in my opinion. Some old people advise us to visit some places and spend some time under certain trees. It is perhaps the reason why they advise like that.

@shivamani10 Mythologies are not fables but the name itself suggests that they are "myths". The correct definition of mythology is "a collection of myths, especially one belonging to a particular religious or cultural tradition."

They perhaps do. They got their own language. Mythologies are not fables in my opinion. They are all written with rich experience and personal observations.

@LadyDuck Yes I do agree. Science can not overlook them in the name of rationality They should devote attention and find out the truthfulness of these so called myths.

Those mythologies are probably true. Trees are also living being.

@Bhaskarjhborah : Our science needs laboratory proof. They took nearly 100 years to devise an instrument to prove the existence of Gravitational Waves proposed by Einstein.
