Update: I guess I don't have wide calves after all? My boots came in the mail yesterday!

I guess I don't have wide calves after all? 
- OR-
Maybe just all the ones I tried on in stores were designed too narrow/tight. It probably depends on the brand also. But as of right now comparing the two brands I purchased - I fit into the regular sized boots.
To follow up with my discussion - I purchased 2 boots online at Macy's and I received them in the mail last night (a day earlier than expected delivery 
).
The boots I purchased:
- Marc Fisher "Alexis" Wide Calf Tall Riding Boots
- b.o.c. Cam Tall Boots
Both boots are true to size but the "wide calf" was way too wide. I really love the style of the Marc Fisher ones too - especially the chain detailing. It's such a bummer they don't have the regular style in stock or else I would exchange for those. The b.o.c. boots are extremely comfortable, will go with a lot of outfits and now I can cross out finding a pair of boots that actually fit ME on my list now, yay!

If you're on the market for some boots and don't want to pay MSRP - you should check out Macy's! They have 75% off shoe sales on selected styles/brands.

Those are really cool. I should get those for my girlfriend. She once found a great pair of goth boots at a thrift store, really cheap, but one of the eyelets had fallen off.

@infatuatedbby - there are times she doesn't think so, but I try. I also want to get her her first tattoo. Of course, if I walk into a shop with her, I hear that needle and want another one myself, which would make for an expensive day.

Those boots are gorgeous friend.
Yes they are wide, so your calves are probably swimming in them.
A good bargain you got.

Thank you! Yes the second pair (right side on the photo) are the wide ones. I love the style though and I love finding sales - they were 75% off.

I tried regular ones in the store and they didn't fit. I was so bummed - but really want boots so I just gambled and bought some online. I'm glad I did.

Your boots look really lovely and comfortable. I'm glad they worked out for you! Your calves ain't too wide from the picture. So don't second guess yourself again because of crappy boots.

I wrote about boots not fitting at the store and I ordered some online sort of gambled to see if they'd fit since none did at the store. Now I received the ones I ordered.
