Gardening is a good source of exercise...what do you think?

I really get lost in my garden doing all sorts of interesting things. My husband cuts branches off shrubs and I help pull them away, to the other end of the property. Raking up leaves from trees, planting out Butternut squash seedlings and many other flower and plant related activities. Not to mention chasing away the troop of Vervet monkeys that make a real mess. Sometimes adorable, sometimes a nuisance. Anyway it is amazing how much energy you expend in the garden doing routine maintenance! Do you like gardening?

My mother lived to 104 and in her own home till she was 99. She was a passionate gardener and I'm sure that is what kept her going.

There is something so energising about working in a garden and being part of watching plants grow to their full potential.

@dianadee I think it is very therapeutic for many people. Very frustrating for a few of us (meaning me, not you).

Do I like gardening? I do, I do, I do. Can't wait for the snow to go away and start again.

Yes I love gardening, and I'm glad that I don't have any monkeys to contend with!

The monkey's can be so irritating as they search for anything that they can eat. We also planted trees so maybe we are partly to blame.
