Is it spring yet where you live?

The calendar says it is still winter, but the daffodils, crocus, Daphne and other blooms say otherwise. My grass has grown like crazy the last two weeks. It was a sunny 65 degrees here in western Oregon today, with rain predicted tomorrow.
All that added up to some broad hints that I had better mow my lawn, so I dragged the lawnmower out of the garage and spent an hour or so pushing it around and emptying the grass catcher more than a few times.
Now, at 4:20 PM, I can relax and enjoy my cold IPA brew while perusing the efforts my fellow myLot writers.
I suppose some shoveled snow, some cleaned up after violent storms and some just took it easy, or kept an eye on those storm clouds.

It got up to about 70 here today.
Some of the flowering trees have decided to have at it already. We're still waiting for the decorative cherry tree in front of the apartments to bloom, but there's a bud that's been starting to open over the last couple of days. Saw a couple of daffodils blooming down the street on the way home, too.
I'm kind of looking forward to it, because it means that I'll be able to get back to shooting with my D70 again. It takes infrared photos, and spring foliage always looks fantastic in infrared.

ya already mowed yer lawn? lol, i'm glad we aint to that point yet, although i've various bulbs poppin' 'up 'n bloomin' 'round the place. we're fadin' in/outta weather patterns here. record highs 'n glorious weather to dang its cold 'n what's that white schtuff comin' at me sideways due to the winds. but, true spring'll hit these parts eventually 'n i can't wait to get out'n piddle 'round the grounds.

Looks like you're way ahead of us. We still have snow on the ground (though it is melting), and I've not seen any spring plants coming up yet.

It still might snow a few more times here. So I have not dragged the lawnmower out yet.
