Do you get migraine headaches or any other type of chronic headaches? How bad do they get? Have you found a way to get rid of them? What is the most unusual way you have heard of to make them stop? I would love to hear your story.

I always get Migraines especially if I have to study for a long time. And it doesn't go away easily unlike before. What I do when I get that is I just relax myself and breath and sometimes lie down and put cold ice on my head. It helps me, hope it could help you as well.

I have heard that cold helps some people. I have held cold bottles of stuff from the fridge on my neck and that sometimes helps, sometimes not.

@akalinus At least you still have the means to ease the pain of the Migraine, Some people don't.

I had migraines when I was younger, now they have almost disappeared. My husband suffers of headaches from two years. He has headache all the day and night. I cannot count how many tests the doctors have done, it is impossible to find a remedy, they cannot even understand where the problem is.

I will get the occasional headache, but not very often. I'm lucky as I don't really suffer from migraines. I only get the occasional headache.

This doesnt work for everyone but it works for me. When I am having migraine attacks, I am pulling my ears in a massage like fashion and all the pain is being eased somehow,

That's cool. Some people get a daith piercing which they say works in the same way. It is sort of like the Chinese acupuncture method of sticking needles in pressure points. I will try pulling on my ears. Couldn't hurt.

Luckily I don't get migraines and rarely get any sort of headache. I must be one of the lucky ones as I know migraines are terrible.

I am glad you don't. Nobody deserves them, I feel so sorry for people who have them. They are the worst.

I have always been prone to both tension and sinus headaches that can send me reeling into bed. No over the counter meds have ever had an effect. I just have to hibernate until they pass. There is such a moment of relief when the headache lifts but I feel exhausted from them.

Have you ever tried some of the weird remedies? Like a daith piercing or anything like that?

@akalinus No. As I said, I just gut it out until passing. Fortunately I don't seem to get as many these days.

i had one last year. i was confined in a hospital for a different reason and suddenly i started getting mild headaches until i was crying and shouting after a few days. the doctors had to let me go through CT scan because i dont get migraine ever since. well at least not that painful. i tried so many medicines (regulated and over-the-couter type) but none. i just try to sleep the whole time and cover my eyes because it hurts too.

These headaches seem to affect the eyes in a lot of people. I am glad your headaches are not too bad anymore.

@amadeo She just needs to keep trying. Something will help, she just needs to find out what. Headaches are the worst.

I think if you try something and it helps, just keep doing it as long as it does not harm you.

I do get migraines. The last few years however I only usually seem to get the distorted vision. More often than not I don't get the headaches anymore. For that I am grateful. Sugar is my problem, to much sugar and a migraine appears. I cut down on sugar and I don't get them.

What happens to your vision when you get them? I sometimes see shimmering rainbow colors every where I look. If I look at the ceiling, it is different colors and bumping up and down from the shimmer.
