Still Working on it

Back before I got my tax refund I had planned on using part of the funds for editing my short story book, Grue Tales. Unfortunately things happened. The dryer started going out for starters. The last thing was my much needed printer and as both were necessary, I had to replace them.
Why don't I try to find an agent for the book? I'm not famous. If I were Stephen King and said to an agent "hey, I got a book of short stories", they would snap it up in an instant. Me, I'm just a mostly unknown writer with very little notice. Another reason is agents just don't deal with short stories. They don't consider it worth their time.
I've tried the crowdfunding route before and found not that many people like me all that well or well enough to fork over any cash. Now if I could get Neil Gaiman to mention my need for funding like he does for his wife, I might get somewhere. Yeah, I know, that's never going to happen. If only I had a tone deaf husband who was famous!
So it will have to be the slow and steady saving up what I can method.

Maybe one day you'll become a famous write and you'll have agents falling over you wanting to publish your work.
Not sure why you would want a tone deaf husband maybe i'm missing the point lol.

The best way I can save up is by not going out on weekends and putting away atleast 100 dollars every time I get paid, it works for me

I don't go out weekends, I work. Work will pick up and I'll be able to save a bit.

It has always been difficult to get published. I don't think books of short stories are very popular either - as you say.

They are popular but agents don't want to take a chance on an unknown author with short stories.
