Is it Cherries or Chocolates?

The fundamentals of knowing the differences in life! “Life is a bowl of cherries. Some cherries are rotten while others are good; its your job to throw out the rotten ones and forget about them while you enjoy eating the ones that are good! There are two kinds of people: those who choose to throw out the good cherries and wallow in all the rotten ones, and those who choose to throw out all the rotten ones and savor all the good ones.” ~ C. JoyBell C. This reminds me of a line in a very famous movie - Forrest Gump . . when he refers to his mother and how life is like a box of chocolates: " My momma always said, "Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."" therefore if today you find yourself faced with a rotten cherry, or a chocolate not to your tasting, choose to toss it out or leave it behind. No regrets, no second guessing, no hiding, no contest! Quite in the philosophical mood I am . . . . I am missing my mom and dad today.

There are people that seem to choose every time the rotten cherries and the bad chocolates. I love both cherries and chocolates and why not to mix them! Coated cherries with liquor, I love them.

I sometimes feel that my star sign should be a rotten cherry.

Cyclops star sign
@Inlemay It does not get mentioned much in the horoscopes because it only applies to me.

Oh yes, I'm all for tossing the rotten stuff. I love your family photo but can't quite decide which one is you. Are you the one at the front on the left? Only joking!! I think that's you standing at the back?

Are you the one looking at the camera with the short straight hair? Yes, life is like a bowl of cherries or a box of chocolates. I throw out the bad and eat the good. P.S. I never eat cherries willingly. Too sour for me.

That is a lovely photo. I have eaten chocolates that have cherries in it and yes picking wheat from chaff is called art of living.

This is good advice. Some 'friends' are not really friends at all but pull you down with their attitude or behaviour.

Yes, no point in stressing about the rotten cherries. I liked Erma Bombeck's saying. If life is a bowl of cherries; what am I doing in the pits.?" Missing your mom and dad is tough. Take care

I'm so aware of how it is to miss a parent. One never gets used to the fact they are gone. I treasure each day I spend with my mom, at 87 you never know how much time you have left. Today was a good day for me, I had happy mail and a lovely time with my sisters yesterday.

life's full of complexity emotions seem to be what the complications often stem from how we react to things and handle our emotions our actions taken.
