Visitors Made my Heart Explode

Mr. and Mrs. Orville, the ospreys, stopped by to say hello. I was busy with myLot yesterday, at my desk overlooking the Intercostal and ocean beyond. It was so beautiful out, that I left my window open. I'd recognize Orville's voice anywhere, and as they approached my window, I heard that beautiful chirp and tweet. I stood up and immediately flung open the window and waved and said, "Hi pretty birds!" They both turned their heads to look at me and hovered. Then, silently, flew down the coast. I'm in love with that raptor. Any interaction I have with him makes my heart explode. Now I can enjoy his mate, as well.

They always stop by, which amazes me. It's freaky that they know where I am at any given time. On my morning walks, at the pool, and even in the car, Orville follows us and chirps like a lunatic!

@AnneEJ No, that would break my heart. I know Doodles was upset when we left. Ignorance is bliss. I just pray he is around when we return.

@DianneN Wouldn't you like to be able to see how he reacts, when he comes around after you have left for the North, and can't find you.

@ElizabethWallace Females have a necklace - brown colored feathers that look like a necklace with a pendant. Aren't you impressed with my knowledge? Lol! I've studied them and am fascinated by everything.

@paigea I think I mentioned once that we had one fly to my window when I was a child. My dad told me it was rare to see them in Connecticut and that it would bring me good luck. I remember its beauty to this day.

so nice of them to visit you and fun to have named them too I had a crow pair that once visited m y window sill. He came first and went caw c aw so I went c aw ca w then he puffed his chest and cawed three times I repeated it he flew off then returned wih a pretty lady crow I went caw hree times and she did that. I think cawcaw in crow talk means hello b ut three times means I have a wife lol I believe that birds are much more intelligent than we give them credit for.

He seems to like me a lot! When I was at the pool a few days ago, he was out fishing. I called to him in a high pitched voice, and he flew right overhead and hovered. Everyone was amazed. He usually does that, even if I'm in the house and call him. The best was when he showed me a fish he caught by flying right up to my window, where I was at my desk. He hovered while my mouth gaped, them flew back to his nest. Amazing!!!!!!

Orville amazes us. He's the only one who chirps, tweets, and whistles, so that makes it very easy. Lol! The only problem with opening that window, which faces the water, is that sometimes the breeze is too strong. It sets off our fire alarm and Browns the blinds. We can't lose them, or else we'd be blinded by the morning sun.

@SIMPLYD He won't let me get near him, but he comes as close as he can when I call him. He has razor sharp claws and a huge wingspan. He chirps at me, flys by my window, peeks in, hovers over me when I'm outside if I talk to him, and flew up to my window to show off a fish he caught. He has the sweetest voice, too. I love him as if he were a pet.
