Death of the Nook?

Yet another reminder to research before you freak out, it doesn't appear the Nook is being turned off, just apps for the Nook. I had read the Nook was being shut down, but I don't think from what I found on Barnes and Noble website itself supports that. No, it appears that just that the additional apps are going away.
I had no idea there were apps for a nook, I assumed it was like my kindle, an E reader and nothing more. Then again, I have an OLD kindle, and not a fire, fire's probably have apps.
But seriously people, do your research before you freak out! Gotta love Facebook and other social medias, right?

I looked at once, to see how it compared to my kindle, thought it looked like a cheap knockoff

@Asylum some of it just came from the fact the kindle was years ahead of the nook, and had better PR lol
