I have to admit I have a purse obsession especially with larger purses! However, I find with a larger purse - I will accumulate random junk and have no clue how the "junk" crawled in.
Since I just cleaned out my current purse to transition into a different one, I thought I'd share with you all the contents of my purse I wore for the past week. All my junk has been tossed out though he-he like wrappers, water bottles, etc..
My purse
This purse will be a year old next month. I have worn this bag a few times throughout the year, not exactly one of my favorites but it's quite spacious!
It's the Michael Kors Sophie Large Top-Zip Satchel in the color Cedar with Silver Hardware. It's a nice leather bag, not too heavy but a good weight and can be worn 4 different styles - on your shoulder, cross body, on your arm or by holding the handles.
What's in my purse?
Honestly nothing special.
- White + Gray Plastic Chevron Print Pocket Expanding File with Elastic Closure for my coupons / important receipts / paper / gift cards
- Feminine Products in a Zip Lock
- Michael Kors Leather Wallet
- Coach Sunglasses
- Vaseline Lip Therapy
- Chapstick Moisturizer with SPF 12
- 2 Sets of Keys
- Random recent receipts / coupons
- & my phone (but not shown as I had to use my phone to take the picture)
And that's all as I don't wear make up.
What is in your purse? And if you're a fella - guys have man purses, man bags, brief cases, backpacks.
If you do this challenge - be sure to tag me I'd love to see what's in your purse! Just like how I like to watch What's in your Purse on YouTube.

@MGjhaud I love cross body bags, hehe sorry we use different term but good to know they're also called sling bags!

Is a sling back considered to be a cross body bag or like a one shoulder backpack? It isn't a common phrase I hear often. Oh yes - it does depend where we go. When I go out I always have my purse, but if I go to work - I just bring a wallet.

I carry the new wallet my daughter got me for my birthday, my check book and debit cards, perfume, lip balm, list of the kids meds in case we need them, a brush, pens, keys, nail file, and hard copy of telephone numbers.

@infatuatedbby ...I've heard of so many people who had lost, broken or had stolen their cell phones and then were totally lost because they didn't know any of the phone numbers in their own phone. It's so rediculous. A person can 'export' all their numbers and then print out if they are lazy.

@celticeagle You are totally correct! We don't think of "what if" situations. But I do remember important numbers such as my parents and sibling, boyfriend - but it's good to have other family/friends numbers also.
Just like the other day there was a car accident that stroke an electric pole - the entire street including stores was out of electricity. One which was a bank and since there was no electricity the bank couldn't function. They were directly people to go to the next exit over to get their money, etc. We are so dependent on technology now a days so when situations like this happen which isn't often, everyone freaks out!

@infatuatedbby ....And they should be ready for such things. Terrorists could cause electricity to go out at any time and we much be ready and vigilant. I think we remember the numbers we use the most but what about ones we don't that we might need at some point?
I used to carry a huge purse and had to have everything imaginable in it. I no longer do and my back sure doesn't ache as much carrying it around.

Yes, I agree with that. My mom always likes to buy purse, and big purse as well, so she can carry what she needs inside her purse.
For me, I always carry the one I like, almost until it's torn then only I'll change. I always like to carry a sling bag, very simple one. Now that I am bringing my children with me all the time, I am carrying a big bag. I guess except for my mobile phone and wallet (sometimes I don't even bring my wallet), the rest of the stuffs are for them - water bottle, some packs of biscuits, tissue papers, papers and pencils (in case they are bored and need to do something). Sometimes I bring extra clothes for them as well. Glad that now they are older now, so I don't really need to pack a lot of things in my bag, just water and snack are necessary.

You will need to pack a lot again once baby #3 comes, hehe. Have you thought about names yet?
I asked you before if you plan on giving American names also but I don't think you've responded to that one yet.
I also learned a sling bag (is a cross body from a member above). I love those styles too!
Thank you for sharing what's in your purse! You have a lot of useful stuff especially papers/pencils (that's good to keep the kids occupied if they're bored).

I usually always carry a book with me as well but right now this is what is in my purse. My purse is nothing special. I do not care what it looks like as long as its big and can hold a lot of things. I usually have a diaper bag that is just black or blue so it doesn't really look as much like a diaper bag but it can hold a ton of stuff. When my kids are with me I always have to have drinks and snacks with us wherever we go.
In my purse now is my wallet, lotion, hand sanitzer, baby wipes, chapstick, crossword puzzle book, wallet organizer that holds my loyalty cards and gift cards etc, coupon organizer, a pouch of feminine products, a granola bar, deodorant and tissues.

@infatuatedbby Word searches are too easy for me so I prefer the challenge of crosswords. My daughter and niece are really into them now. I love that they are finding joy in the things that I enjoy as well. It is a great activity for them to sit calmly and use their minds. Like you said when I am out waiting and only have my phone the batteries will drain. I like to always have a book with me you just never know when you will want to have one and be without and bored. But I really love reading!

@shaggin I sometimes play sudoku - I am horrible at crosswords but it is fun because it's challenging.
I don't read that often anymore but I have magazines subscribed home lol. But it's too big to fit that in my purse otherwise I would.

Bringing a book is a good idea - i don't read so often but there are times when I'm waiting doing nothing except browsing my phone then my phone will be out of batteries, lol. Im more of a word search girl though!

Oh yes - all my bags must contain my wallet (credit cards, spare cash, id, insurance cards) along with keys, chapstick + sunglasses of course! I don't need eyeglasses yet, but when I do that will be a necessity too. Do you often find junk in your bag like I do.
Not pictured but I have empty water bottles, or snack wrappers lol.

My purse is small. Inside there's my cell phone, lip balm, insurance cards, credit card, daughter's medical cards, sunglasses, mints and my work "service with a smile" agreement.

I like small purses when I'm going to like amusement parks, or areas where I don't it'll be crowded so I feel safer with my bag hehe.

My phone always runs out of batteries! I bought a back up USB but I never used it yet - I should start trying that out.
I bring water too and some snacks occasionally.

I have to claim the fifth on that one...No, nothing illegal but I was embarrassed to see the fiesta of garbage on the bottom. I would never keep my home or car like that. I wonder who does put all that junk in there?
