What Is It With This Year?!!

What is it with this year?! In a previous discussion I said it has seemed to be Birthdays and Funerals. Well, today I feel numb, just numb, so very awfully numb!
Last weekend my Uncle turned 80, the week before that my Aunt turned 80 they also celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary.
I kissed and hugged her goodbye last Saturday, after those wonderful celebrations. We laughed about the speeches that had been made. Joked we'd all eaten too many cupcakes.
Yesterday at 18:00 we got a phone call. She had complained about cramps on her tummy, something had gone wrong, horribly wrong, she had a heart attack, she was gone, just gone.
My Uncle is a broken man today. My Mom is trying to comfort her broken Brother, there just are no words!
My one cousin had to fly in from England by herself, her and her husband had just returned to England, he could not leave his practice again. Her daughters couldn't come with her, they are studying.
But, she is finally with her brothers, sister and Dad. How utterly heartbreaking this all is. Please, spare a thought for them. Any prayers too.
I say again. We only get one life. Live it! If you want to eat that piece of cake, or chocolate, eat it! If you want to have a glass of wine or a cup of coffee, who cares about caffeine or sugar or whatever other supposed threats to our life!
Drink in life, savour simple pleasures! Love, laugh, be silly, be vibrant! Gaze up at the stars each night! Welcome a glorious sunrise each day. Live life to the utmost!
I wish you all a blessed week. Take care everyone.

@JudyEv , thank you. Yes, they had those wonderful celebrations, in his speech, on his birthday, my Uncle jokingly said, that he started dating my Aunt when they were 17, and 56 years later they were still dating...we all had such a good chuckle at that. So hard to believe a week later and she is now gone.

my condolences, my friend, but looking on the brighter side, at least now, she will not experience the hardships and struggles of life.

@ridingbet , thank you. She loved life, she had a very good life. But yes, her last hours were painful, and at least she was spared more pain and I hope now she will rest in peace, as you say.

It's so sad to read this, I am sorry about your loss. At first, I was so happy to read that your uncle and aunt turned 80 and celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary. How sweet it is.
I am sorry to hear about your aunt. Sending you my prayers, especially to your uncle.
Yes, we only have this life, and we should always live to the fullness. Thanks for reminding us.
I wish you and your family have a blessed week as well.

I'm very sorry to hear this:(, and will definatly pray for them:(. What you said is where I am kinda living right now, with my parents I kinda know that that is all I can really do, try and make them happy at the moment, nothing is really more important to me right now because I know as difficult as it can be, it will not be forever:/. Again, very sorry to hear this and will definatly keep them in prayer:(.

@HebrewGreekStudies , thank you. Yes, no matter how bad or tough we think a day is, nothing lasts forever. So we must make each second count, share smiles and laughter, or bring laughter into lives. Your parents are blessed to have you in their lives.

My condolences and prayers for you and your family. When life comes abruptly to an end for someone whom we care for - a mind, body and soul awakening ensues. Treasure life and never settle for not living it to the fullest.
